I already have a Savage Mark II, Ruger American Rimfire, CZ 452 Training rifle, Romanian M1969 Training rifle, Winchester 69A, and Winchester 72A

my Savage Mark II is an older G that doesn't have an Accu-trigger, no t a bad trigger but its pretty meh

What I'd like is a modern .22 bolt gun with a decent trigger that I could throw a peep sight on or put a nice pair of rions on.

My Winchester 69A and 72A have peeps but they're essentially range toys since they're pre-64s.

The American Rimfire is wearing a Leupold rimfire 2-7x scope on it. I might wind up pikcing up another one or a Leupold rimfire fixed 4x for my Savage Mark II

I'm thinking of picking up another Mark II or maybe a Marlin XT-22TR tube fed bolt gun

The Savage mk2 with accutrigger is outstanding. Especially for under $200

I'm going to pick up the Savage MKII 28702 since it's threaded and fluted and has an accutrigger.

I see that Savage makes a Mark II FVT that has target sights

the stock looks a bit chincy but that can always be swapped out

I love my Henry, and I love my CZ452.

Here's daughter with her Henry.

CZ99. Formerly imported as Remington Model Five and Zastava Z5. As the CZ99 it no longer has the laminate stock of the Remington version(plain wood instead) but I'd imagine it would shoot just as well. They can be had for under $200.

I really enjoy my Savage FVSR II with a Silencerco suppressor.  Shoots great.

Not a bolt action, and by what stretch of the imagination are they inexpensive? The CHEAPEST one I have seen in three years was $550 and that was terrible condition. Nice ones bring close to $800.

I never thought I'd say this....but maybe slow down on buying guns.

Or just get into high dollar guns so we don't have these threads as often.

Mossberg M44

Prices are starting to go up, but damn, I love mine...

Not my ad. Just here for reference...

ETA, I know you said "modern," but the M44 really is an awesome peep sight platform with a phenomenal trigger.

I really don't buy as many guns as I do these threads. They're usually to find out info if I want to make a purchase. Essentially I get a thought into my head and want to hear people's thoughts on it.

You already own it.  Put a Timney in your CZ.

Oh I see, I figured you had a couple hundred by now with how often I see you asking about a new gun. Just remember, admitting you have a problem is the first step

Savage Rascal.

Seriously. Shooting slow and taking time between each shot is more rewarding than blasting semi auto.

I haven't shot my ruger 10/22 since.
