I have some BM knives but overall I am not a fan of their styling. I only have one or two knives from most brands. RAT1 is my EDC but I also carry a Spyderco Manix 2, Kershaw Blur, and a BM Barrage.

If you are a Veteran and you furnish documentation, your first one is 50% off
Edit: I'm still a little hazy on the shipping procedure of automatic knives so... I have not jumped yet. |
|
I only have 2, the rest are Kershaw and a CRKT. My Benchmades are an ATS34 (with my stuff in Hawaii) and a Griptillian.
Aloha HIBigBoar! |

love, but got sick of losing 150 dollar knives.
fell in love with kershaw leeks. Benchmade are desk/safe queens now |
|
I wouldn't say I have an addiction to them, but a BM 710 has been my EDC knife for nearly 20 years.
|
|
I've been EDC'ing a benchmade A.F.C.K. for so many years I can't remember
|
|
I love em, but for me it's the opposite. I have a 940 and 941, and don't feel a need to buy more folding knives because they're so good.

They do have great steel in them.I have carried my mini grip for the last 7 years or so.
Only knife i have ever stuck to that long for EDC,no plans to replace it either. ETA: my only Benchmade, but i have some Spyderco's,US Kershaws, etc. |

I'm a Spyderco man myself. I want to like BM, but there style just doesn't do it for me. I know that the quality is top-notch, but they just look to clunky to me. I almost feel the same way with ZT, but some of their stuff looks ok. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I have several I lost a 930 somewhere, I bought another one. I can't carry for the job I now do (Prison Guard). So now I mostly carry a Leatherman when nor at work, as I find the other tools useful. The Benchmades mostly get used around the house.

Busse knives and ZT folders.
Yes, I've got it too, there's no cure. All you can do is spend a few hundred bucks every once in a while to keep it under control. |
|
I have six Benchmades and like them alot, but never carry them. I carry Ganzos because they are cheap and well-made, and I don't feel guilty if I lose them.
A few examples: A Ganzo Firebird at Amazon Another Ganzo Firebird at Amazon Gearbest has a better selection and better prices but you have to wait 3-4 weeks to get them. |
|
I only have two of their knives, but I have carried my Auto Stryker daily since 2003.

NC won't let me carry the automatic the .mil issued me, 'cause they're so much deadlier than assisted opening knives
Awesome knife, though, it's...waiting. |

I bought a Mini Reflex auto knife in 1997. I've carried it a ton since then. Sadly a year or two it went missing. It's gone missing in the past, only to always show up somewhere. This time I haven't been able to locate it. That has been my favorite BM knife.
I almost bought a replacement yesterday on a whim while at a shooting range. I hate the new ones with the safety on them. I want my old school one that lacked the stupid safety lever. |

The unit I was in, in Afghanistan ordered a BM knife for everyone. When we got them....all the boxes were empty.
Guys at battalion suddenly had some nice Benchmade knifes though. |

Still have a mini auto Stryker from 04 that I occasionally carry. Have replaced the spring once so far, just wish it wasn't serrated.
More into fixed blades. If they made one as clean as an esee around the same price point I would jump on It. |

I have Benchmade, Spyderco, ZT, Microtech, and others, If I could have knives from only one brand it would be Benchmade.

My understanding is that if it's not a "projectile knife" (and it's not), and the blade length is less than 3.5", you are good to go under NC law. NC has no preemption though so your city or county may restrict it. edit: I stand semi-corrected. This applies to concealed carry, but open carry of a <3.5" auto knife should still be gtg.
