Mine had a few FTFs when it was brand new and not broken in. I haven't experienced a failure of any kind in many thousands of rounds.

That's nice dear.
Now go outside and play while the adults are talking. |

My cheapest 1911 is a M1991 and I'm still waiting for it to bobble. It's an early parked one, my Glock 19 wishes it could be as reliable.
I did lose a front sight off my Briley, when I replaced it I added a roll pin and it's been fine for years. I bought a 1941 GI45 that wouldn't eject, had a chipped claw, tossed in a USGI extractor and it's been running fine for years. Didn't even tune it. |

Love that the picture of the 1911 with a failure is a springfield armory. Its just like mine!

I actually have no opinion on the 1911 nor am I a Glock fanboy.
That pic is just funny. |

Another for the ignore list for being a troll wanting to make lines in the sand.

I've fired many thousands of rounds through a handful of 1911's and never seen the jam in that last picture.

Different tools for different jobs.
I love my 1911s. Glocks work great, but the don't shoot as well. |

Hey, OP . . .

people spend $2500 on a Glock to make a trigger they compare to a 1911 trigger :P
sorry, fanboy a piece of plastic shaped like square ass all you want. I'll take my sexy blue steel beauty into the wild and sling fat fuckers at the speed of smell all day. |

The world is a much more pleasant place once you stop caring about things that people like that you do not. |

Whoa.
1. I don't own a Glock anymore. 2. No hate for the 1911. 3. That pic is funny. Some of my fellow shooters are wound up a bit too tightly over this. It's just a funny pic gentleman. |
|
Except it's the Glockaholics that are the fanatical ones.
This thread is a perfect example. It's usually a Glockaholic who starts these 1911 bashing threads. It's always a Glockaholic who, after an OP specifically states that he does not want a Glock, posts "Get a Glock". Glockaholics are pathetic. |
