Are noise pollution codes for vehicles a thing? View Quote Excessive noise is not limited to motorcycles, and it is wrong to single them out. At least for me, there are far more loud trucks and cars than bikes around here. But people seem to give the cars and trucks a pass for some unknown reason, while bitching about the bikes. |

Tell your oblivious wife and teens to stop texting their BFF's and applying makeup while driving and we'll put the baffles back in our bikes. For those who say you don't hear open pipes because you have the windows and stereo cranked up to eleven, point taken, but you can sure as hell FEEL the concussion of the sound waves against your vehicle.

Their attention whoring is much more important than your right to peace and quiet.

I dont mind loud things if they're fast.
Loud harleys are the same as fart can hondas to me. All that sound and no actual power. Lame |

IMO, loud pipes on pickup trucks and "tuner" cars are more obnoxious than loud pipes on bikes.

I just want them to admit the real purpose is because they think they're cool and it makes them feel warm and fuzzy to turn gasoline into noise. Just be honest about it. Same reason you NEVER see a Harley rider wearing a helmet let alone full face one that protects their entire head. It clashes with the image and isn't as cool.

My Honda motorcycle is substantially louder than any harley in this town.
It was like that when I got it and my give-a-fuck meter just doesn't move enough for me to change it. My old truck was loud too, the exhaust rotted off just off the headers. Just brutal |

OP is spot on, with the provision that the wrath of God also must abide on the drivers of rice burners and brodozers with intentionally obnoxious pipes. Piss on them all.

And for the record, I owned a bike and never really liked loud pipes. Just was not my thing.

If you live next door to the motorcycle hangout than I guess it would get old fast, other than that they whiz on by faster than it took to write this reply.

I can't fucking stand it when those idiot cocksuckers on their big gay harleys rip through downtown at 87,000 RPM while putting out 300 decibels while i'm trying to enjoy a beer on a patio
