Oh look! Yet another (insert inconsequential little state here) Vs. Texas thread. It's been what, about a day or two since the last one? View Quote |

Texans and private property laws...biggest lulz in a long, long time.

Texas has the best looking women in the world. That is a fact.

This thread is going almost exactly how I imagined. A bunch of Texans chiming in attacking me but not really denying my observations. A bunch of people from the rest of the country agreeing with me View Quote |

You can say it, but it doesn't make it true. You should travel to other states some time and broaden your horizon. It's a big world out there
Edit: if by hottest women you mean fake tits and bad makeup, yeah you and new Jersey are neck and neck for "hottest" women |

Oh look... another shit on Texas.
Hate us because you aint us. |

I'm guessing you never met anyone from NYC, Boston, or Orange, NJ? Of course there are plenty of those liberal iceholes from Austin and Houston.

These threads are always fun though and I enjoy them.
No offense meant to anyone here. |

THAT'S the most beautiful explanation I've ever read about the Texas Id/ego!!! View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

"I have said that Texas is a state of mind, but I think it is more than that. It is a mystique closely approximating a religion. And this is true to the extent that people either passionately love Texas or passionately hate it and, as in other religions, few people dare to inspect it for fear of losing their bearings in mystery or paradox. But I think there will be little quarrel with my feeling that Texas is one thing. For all its enormous range of space, climate, and physical appearance, and for all the internal squabbles, contentions, and strivings, Texas has a tight cohesiveness perhaps stronger than any other section of America. Rich, poor, Panhandle, Gulf, city, country, Texas is the obsession, the proper study, and the passionate possession of all Texans.” -Steinbeck Id/ego!!! |

Hmm....interesting thought OP! I was once warned about traveling through Texas(some years ago), and was told the same thing "If america had an asshole it would be Texas"! Mind you I was on two wheels and gasp..... A Harley Davidson! I am from CA, and was told don't have a gun on you let alone knife. I was traveling to Daytona bike week. I will say one thing about the trip.....the Texans I encountered......were some of the nicest folks I have met in my travels! I am one ugly looking SOB! |

That's a step in the right direction. Now compare land area that is 1. actually fit for human habitation and 2. able to be privately owned in each state. http://www.pewtrusts.org/~/media/legacy/uploadedimages/peg/publications/other_resource/wliblmmap2alaska770jpg.jpg View Quote |

I deal with a lot of customers and vendors in Texas and they are, 9 times out of 10, self centered, arrogant, douche bags. Come to think of it, the most arrogant people I've ever met in my life were Texans. I'd blame it on the industry but I've seen too folks from Texas on here acting the same way. Am I wrong? Outside of Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, El Paso, all of the gulf coast, and that part by Mexico, Texas is a great state.

I don't condemn Texans, I have seen knife fights in bars over people who condemn Texas.....in California. I've driven thru Texas, 4 times from horn to horn. Nope, I don't say bad things about Texas, at least to their face

They think they single handedly won the revolutionary war but egged tourists visit the Alamo they think this is the Texas state flag.

Where ya from, princess? What's the saying? If you meet an asshole in the morning, you just met an asshole. If you meet assholes all day, maybe you're the asshole. My guess is that you come across IRL like you do in this thread - like you've got a chip on your shoulder. And FWIW, I'm from Illinois. Just got here as fast as I could.
