Simple question: what weponlight do you have/recommend for an 11.5" SBR with an M-lok rail?

Main use is HD, IR capability is a bonus but not necessary.

Thanks in advance

surefire mini scout.

Surefire X300

ETA: I would also consider a Streamlight Pro Tac on my next gun that gets a light.

I'm interested in the responses as well.  I'm looking to put a light on my SBR.

ETA:  I was leaning toward the Inforce WML.

For those suggesting a mini Scout, do you use a tape switch?

Both of mine have Surefire Mini Scouts mounted at 11:00. No tape switches. I shoot left handed and reach over the top of the rail with my thumb to activate the tail cap.

Streamlight ProTac. You get the whole package (light and pressure switch) for about $100

I have a surefire fury on my 11.5" gun, but admittedly have not really used it.  I was planning to take a class that would use it, but moved to CA instead  The remote switch (SR-07?) broke while sitting in the safe so it has the clicky cap now.

It looks like I need to decide on a weapon dedicated light (like WML or Streamlight) or a flashlight that is attached.

Same....simple...no bells or whistles...just a nice, small, light-weight, functional flashlight.
I keep one on one of my AR's with a tape switch.

I used a Surefire GX2 (320 lumen) with a clicky cap, and an Odin works mount.

Total was $120, and its lighter than the miniscout. And brighter. 1/4th the cost

I have Surefire Scout M600 weapon lights with the click cap on my AR SBRs.  They handle the farm and ranch abuse I put on them and have had no issues.  I've had them for about four or five years and constantly use them.

I run a TLR 1 with remote pressure switch on my work rifle. More than adequate for lighting up an area.

The TLR-1 is whats currently on my carbine, but I'm not crazy about the switches on a rifle. Its getting replaced, probably with a Surefire mini scout. My 12.5" pistol is probably getting a protac, but the Elzetta mini CQB looks nice too.

I recommend whatever light you pick that it have the ability to turn it off so
getting bumped doesn't accidentally activate it.

SureFire Scout light is good.

I bought a WML recently with IR and have been very impressed by it.
If it holds together I am going to be very happy.

I don't like pistol lights on long guns.

Nothing wrong with sticking a good handheld with a clicky cap
in a ring mount either.

I'm very happy with my Surefire Mini Scout on my 10.3" MK18 SBR. I got one of the dual (momentary, and on/off) switches that mount of the rail too.

have one on mine and have no issues with it. Now granted it's output is not surefire bright/white but it works great and is low profile.

Everyone's taste and needs are different including the way they grip the gun.  With that said this is going to dictate what light or switch  you will or will not use.

I had both a x300u and m600 on my rifles and the m600u is on my 11.5 carbine.  The m300 is on my sbr'd scorpion and glad I have the m 600 on my rifle due to the increase in lumens over the m300.

I love my little setup but it's probably not "operator" enough for most people here. Paid $99 and it does the job "Vism Vertical Fore Grip Tactical Green Laser Flashlight COMBO"

I have a mini Scout on my 10.5 and like it.

The tape switch went in the parts bin immediately though.  I find no use for them,  suppose it's personal preference though.

Muzzle flash.  The first shot is a challenge but after that its just like a rave with flying projectiles.  Bonus points if the flashes match the beat of "sandstorm"

I run Scout lights on three rifles.

I was very disappointed in the tape switch, but VERY happy with the KAC wire control kit.

The pressure switch actually is contained, doesn't move, and mounts either to MLOCK or Keymod.  I love the setup now.
