Simple question: what weponlight do you have/recommend for an 11.5" SBR with an M-lok rail?
Main use is HD, IR capability is a bonus but not necessary. Thanks in advance |

I'm interested in the responses as well. I'm looking to put a light on my SBR.
ETA: I was leaning toward the Inforce WML. |

Streamlight ProTac. You get the whole package (light and pressure switch) for about $100

I have a surefire fury on my 11.5" gun, but admittedly have not really used it. I was planning to take a class that would use it, but moved to CA instead The remote switch (SR-07?) broke while sitting in the safe so it has the clicky cap now.

It looks like I need to decide on a weapon dedicated light (like WML or Streamlight) or a flashlight that is attached.

I used a Surefire GX2 (320 lumen) with a clicky cap, and an Odin works mount.
Total was $120, and its lighter than the miniscout. And brighter. 1/4th the cost Link to m-lock version of mount |

I have Surefire Scout M600 weapon lights with the click cap on my AR SBRs. They handle the farm and ranch abuse I put on them and have had no issues. I've had them for about four or five years and constantly use them.

I run a TLR 1 with remote pressure switch on my work rifle. More than adequate for lighting up an area.

Same....simple...no bells or whistles...just a nice, small, light-weight, functional flashlight. I keep one on one of my AR's with a tape switch. View Quote |

I recommend whatever light you pick that it have the ability to turn it off so
getting bumped doesn't accidentally activate it. SureFire Scout light is good. I bought a WML recently with IR and have been very impressed by it. If it holds together I am going to be very happy. I don't like pistol lights on long guns. Nothing wrong with sticking a good handheld with a clicky cap in a ring mount either. |

I'm very happy with my Surefire Mini Scout on my 10.3" MK18 SBR. I got one of the dual (momentary, and on/off) switches that mount of the rail too.

For those suggesting a mini Scout, do you use a tape switch? View Quote I was very disappointed in the tape switch, but VERY happy with the KAC wire control kit. The pressure switch actually is contained, doesn't move, and mounts either to MLOCK or Keymod. I love the setup now. |
