Is it bad I hope he continues his streak of second place finishes, so that Matt can win, but Larson still gets to etch his name next to some legends for a 4th consecutive second place finish? He's already the 16th driver in Cup history to have 3 consecutive second places.

I debated on going to the race, but decided to buy tickets today. I live about ten mile away, which is probably two hours away on race day.
Haven't watched much NASCAR this year, so it'll be like going to a football game and not caring really who wins. Hopefully it is nice weather. Makes fan watching more enjoyable. |

Well, it isn't the whole song, but it's enough.
waiting patently for the Friday Music Thread. The Dave Grusin tune that was the closing credits theme for CBS broadcasts in the 80s. The internet algorithms scared the living fuck out of me today. Trying to slow down on Friday afternoon at work after a long week, listening to iHeart Radio, been using that for about 14 months. It decides to play for me a 1979 Dave Grusin song from the solo album issued right before the one with that song (which is on the Electric Horseman soundtrack). I know in previous years Daytona threads I have posted about my sister and my search for more than 25 years to find the Daytona 500 closing credit music. THE MUSIC. And after 14 months of pressing thumbs up and thumbs down, iHeart decides that I might like a 1979 Dave Grusin song. How in the FUCK did their computer figure that out. At least I have something to post in the Friday Night Music thread this week too. my brain was blown like a safer barrier when Jimmy Johnson hits it. |

Danica turn 35 tomorrow! So how many races has she won? I know one IRL race due to pure luck. Cannot think of any other ones.

That has happened to him every week so far this year either in practice or in a race. Wonder what they're doing. Something else is going on here. Chad is playing it super conservative. He is afraid of getting caught on something and suspended for a series of races. Remember the lug nut issue? Martinsville and Texas are coming up, then we'll see what they have up their sleeve. |

give a heads up there is a K & H race on NBCSN at 8;30 probably taped

Jeff Gordon and Jr. have said many times they can not drive JJ's setup because he is so loose. Driving a loose car with no downforce is even trickier. Something else is going on here. Yeah, the Netflix thread where everyone talked up Daredevil, and are now comparing Iron Fist to Daredevil, I feel like I should start in chronological order. View Quote |

In on this thread!
But won't be watching till Sunday! As long as crybaby Busch (18) eats shit I will be happy with the race. |

Marleybob never checked back in in the thread last week. Hope his dog didn't get kicked too bad.

I'm tired of typing out the numbers, so go Ford!
I hate these west coast races. NASCAR should not start at 3:30. Every race should start at 1PM. |

He didn't come across as pissed at any point. He knows that some wins are coming his way, and as points leader, if he keeps doing what he's been doing, when he gets that win its butter. View Quote |

Pissed/disappointed yeah more disappointed than pissed yet he knew the call to change lines was wrong yet he still changed lines. Although this track fits him great. Right next to the wall and got him the pole. Hell 2nd place all year long with extra points in the sections and he keeps it up he could win a championship like Matt did right before the chase with one win yet won points. View Quote Last week, him and the 17 had some contact that let Newman break away when he otherwise would have gotten smoked. |
