This Friday at the Toyota Center (where the Rockets play) there is going to be a live concert featuring Game of Thrones composer Ramin Djawadi.

So there is going to be an NBA stadium full of people paying $40-$250 a ticket to listen to an orchestra play music from a tv show.  I think it's safe to say there has never been a tv show like GoT.

I was at that very concert. Fucking awesome. I was actually looking at taking a vacation day and flying to Phoenix or Vegas for another this weekend.

* By the way, even though it is legal to carry there for a concert, they turn you away at the door regardless.

One of Martin's biggest boo-boos as a writer was growth time on the dragons. The whole storyline has come to a grinding halt waiting on dragons to get bigger. The last two books have been shit as a result (after the brilliance of the first three).

If the size and fortitude of dragons is tied to the strength of magic in the world (as has been suggested), it wouldn't be surprising that Drogon would get bigger than the Black Dread. For all the boneheaded moves from D&D, speeding up the growth of the lizards is necessary to keep the story moving.

As much as you might miss Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell) this season, I think Sophie Turner might miss her more.

Now poor Sophie will never get that Sansa/Margaery lesbian scene that she wanted.  Though the Sansa/Arya lesbian scene she wants is still on table I suppose.

That's an interesting question.
We had a LOT of deaths at the end of last season.

Untouchables:
Dany
Tyrion
Jon Snow
Arya Stark

I would love to say that Cersei is going to die, but that's wishful thinking on my part.

Littlefinger seems like someone who's time is nearly at an end. Jorah seems like he could die, but why keep him around all this time?  Grey Worm and Missandei are boring, so I hope they kick the bucket soon.

The Mountain/ Sir Gregor / Robert Strong  is a candidate. I'm not sure he can be killed at this point however. Maybe roasted by dragons.

sandor reborn will kill gregorstein

jamie's going to kill cersei and die in the process...i'm on the fence as to whether it will show him in a heroic light finally, or be another heroic act that  makes him look bad, just like killing aerys.

i really hope to see baelish killed and completely blindsided by it...maybe even at sandor's hand

Saving Brienne multiple times didn't already do that?

As far how it will be portrayed if that comes to pass: in the books it will probably be heroic.  On the show Dumb & Dumber will probably do something on par with having him rape his sister or needlessly murder his cousin.

Tyrion will boldly go into KL proper to sue for a peaceful transition of power, Cersei will try to have him executed, Jaime will kill cersei, mountain will kill Jaime, the hound will kill the mountain, KL will burn from dragon firr.

Get both.  Sansa gets it on with Margaery, and halfway through she takes off her mask and it is Arya with her faceless man powers.

Why not? She does give a F all attitude and willingly killed her relatives just so she could gain power and have a spiteful and vindictive revenge. She would do it if she thought that it would secure her reign just a while longer and the damage that the walkers would do would make the houses of Westeros powerless for a very, very, long and crippling time.

Everyone hates Cersei,  but let's be honest: she didn't just carry out the wildfire plot because she wanted power and revenge.  If she didn't do it she would have been executed.  Plus she didn't plan or even want Tommen to die so it wasn't like she did it to be the queen.

Yeah, the walk out the window was a unintended consequence, but the High Sparrow had to go, it was either them or her.

It just doesn't make sense... try to cut a deal with a mythological evil (as far as she knows) to try to hold on to power, or cut a deal with someone else. I mean OK Aegon doesn't exist on the Show, but surely there's someone else out there that is open to some sort of arrangement (not Snow or Dragontits) besides Euron.

we've seen nothing in books or show to suggest negotiation is even possible with them other than a fairy tale about a female (to date we've seen no female Others) marrying a stark (blood of the first men) 1000ish years ago. i don't see it

I don't interpret it like that.  I think it is more "show the threat" then transition to "the real threat."  i.e. just symbolism.

IIRC yes about a year (the second 1/2 starting when the Season traditionally starts, not delayed like 7.1), and it maybe 6 episodes each part.
