Poll added I'm "kye-yo-tee " I'm wondering if it's a southern thing. View Quote It's a Spanish language thing. |

With 3 syllables. I think the two syllable pronunciation is a western thing.

I just bought an electronic coyote call and looking to start soon. Google searches have a lot of info except it's pretty hard to find the really basic:
What 1st call to use when you get set up this time of year? Coyote or distress? |

I pronounce it both ways
I say "Cia Yote" as a shortened version, and it's what I say more often. I always thought it was part of the NW accent. I'm not sure now. |
Ky yote tee, ky yote, yote or dog. Mostly yote or dog, rarely the entire thing.
Kye-oaty
Yote Kye-yoat Filthy mongrel mother fuckers All interchangeable. |
Poll fail, no option for pie.
In this case, pie stands for, "shoot that dog looking fucker!" Ky-yo-tee pronunciation from me. |
I say ky-oht, or nobody here understands what I'm talking about.
I go with option three.
Both and add to them 'yote. I guess it all depends on the sentence and audience. I must be weird. |
Ky yote for the song dog
Ky yot tee for the brown nylon No idea why there is a difference |
In NV I have never heard a hunter say kye-yote-tee always kye-yote
Both ways as shown in the poll, but usually "soon to be dead".
It depends on how smart want to sound.
If I'm talking to friends, it's two syllables. Otherwise, three syllables. |
idk if anyone else does this but if it's a single coyote I refer to it as ki-yo-tee but as a plural ki-yotes.

Depends on which one I'm talking about:
The 4 legged one is a Kai-yote. The 2 legged illegal alien smuggler one is a Koy-O-Te. |
The Poll sucks and you are all wrong. I say Kah-yo-tee and so does everyone else I know, unless it is a Spanish speaking individual and the original and correct Spanish is used; koh-yo-teh.
Here is the correct pronunciation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEbffLDLVXQ KAH-YO-TEE |
Both. When they get my dogs riled up I say the 3 syllable ending in the vowel in a voice to indicate they are a threat. When talking about them in general or plural it's without the ee.
pronounce like " god damn mother fucking dog killed all the fucking chickens"

In the singular, it is Ky - oatee.
In the plural, it is Ky-oats |
Kie yote or Coy yote
ETA notice its not Kie Dog, its Coy Dog for the cross |
