Soak thighs for 3 days in this stuff.
Grill indirect with some cherry wood.
You're welcome

I prefer whole legs (thigh and drumstick), in fact, just cooked some up last night.

Trimmed off the flabby excess fat that hangs from the leg like Lena Dunham's twat, brushed with melted butter, healthy dose of lemon
pepper, in the oven @ 325 for an hour 15 minutes or longer.

When I do them on on the grill, I like me some Sweet Baby Rays (doesn't matter which flavor).

I usually put my grilled chicken breasts in a bowl once they're ready to serve because they're so juicy.

Because of this thread I'll pick up some thighs for grilling next weekend, though. Does Arfcom season them any differently than white meat? I usually coat boneless, skinless breasts with Tabasco Chipotle sauce as it cooks. I'm diabetic so barbecue sauces (smoke flavored sugar) are a no-go. Slap Ya Mama is another favorite for grilled chicken breasts. What's a good chicken thigh flavoring for grilling?

The wings have the best flavor, but there's not enough meat to actually call them a cut of meat.  Thighs are my go to when I want a meal.

I'd agree with this assessment.

Making wings for dinner tonight.

I soak about a dozen thighs in a homemade jamaican jerk marinade for a couple days then slap them on the grill. Every single bite I tell myself I could live off nothing but.

If cooked alone, thighs, legs, and/or wings.

In most recipes, breast meat.

No shit.  A bunch of no cooking motherfuckers up in this thread apparently.

Having said that, yes thighs are delicious.  But damn near every part of a yard bird is delicious.  (But y'all can have them fuckin gizzards and livers.  Gottdamned catfish bait)

I love roasted chickens.  I mostly eat the white meat on those.  When I cook other things using chicken like stir fry, BBQ, or other grilling I use the thighs.

Every piece of chicken I ate in England tasted just like fish, because they feed them fishmeal.  Even KFC tasted just like fish.

That's some nasty looking shit right there and I ate a cow ball, once, when I was in Ft. Worth.

If we all liked and did the same stuff, it would be a boring world, however.

1. Breast quarters with rib meat.
2. Leg quarters with thigh meat.

From these I eat the rib meat and the thighs, the remainder is used for another meal or given to my GSDs.  I dislike breast meat entirely.  It's very bland.

Fennel seeds, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, pepper. Around a 2:1 ratio of olive oil to lemon juice. Mix that up like a vinaigrette, taste it  and marinate the chicken in it for half an hour. You can crush the fennel or toast it if you want to go all out.

That's my go to.

going to go ahead and agree

used some thighs to make chicken paprikash over some home made spaetzle last night in fact

thighs are pretty universal and will take sauces and marinades well and they are the best part of the bird smoked
and pretty forgiving to overcooking unlike white meat

I grill them on a "smokey" grill with either a bit of barbecue sauce to glaze them or some jamaican jerk
its one of those meals I will hurt myself

I dont cook with breast meat much just because it can dry out easily
however seasoned well and grilled to perfection and not overdone breasts are juicy and amazing

my main love for thighs is they can be had for .40-.55 cents a pound when on sale
and they are on sale at least twice a month here

You are right.

They have packages of skinless/boneless thighs which we buy all the time.  Most of the fat and connective tissue melts away when grilling.  Fork tender chunks of juicy, flavorful dark meat with little to no on-the-plate trimming.

Do you mean something like "brick chicken" where the chicken is cooked between 2 very hot and very heavy surfaces. Surfaces like bricks or cast iron skillets, that have been pre-heated to about 400 degrees in the oven?

@ Garand1911

I hate feet in general.. on whatever they are attached to... including mine, and even my wifes, LOL... so i had a hard time wanting to try chicken feet even though i pretty much will try anything without thinking about it.  I finally did it and they are freaking delicious!!
