Take CCI for example.
They don't build factories, but they just happen to build 87 different varieties instead of the handful they used to. So now they can crank out fucking Troy Landry and "tactical" ammo instead of what everybody wants to buy so the price stays high, and people will buy the bullshit ammo because it is all they can find. Then multiply it times 10 with all you fat assed cave dwelling neckbeards vaccuming it all up as soon as your cousin tells you walmart got a shipment in. News flash! The panic is over and nobody is going to buy that shit from you! So thank you ammo manufacturers, for giving us consumers soooo many choices (that nobody wants) during a fucking 4 year panic. Bag of dicks. CCI |

Stop buying zombie ammo and maybe they will start making the regular thing again?

Not trying to be a dick, but it seems as though prices are coming down and availability....at least online...is really good over the past couple of months.
My new strike price is 5 cents per round and am only going to go with CCI Blazer...which all of my .22s love. Anything else would need to be 4ish cents per round to get my interest. |

I had cci mini mags in my stocking, wife found them at Wal-Mart.

Prices are coming down.
Availability is increasing. 13ers seem to be holding steady. |
|
So what you are saying is:
They have limited capacity and are maximizing their profits. |
|
I haven't had any problems finding CCI SV or Gemtech .22 LR from my local dealer.

So a private company uses the best market research it can find to make money.
THE BASTARDS!!!! |

Thanks, but with all the 22 ammo I have managed to find recently, I have no place for your bag of dicks. Why don't you hold onto said bag yourself. Who knows, maybe Ruger will make a gun that can fire them. |

CCI is building a new 70mil .22 plant. Announced locally last month.

Seems like they were 3 cents per round not too long ago. |

A beered up leftist troll from Montucky [mt], could conduct a better rant. {Buddy of mine. He is a douche. says buy American owns a import 1911.}
CCI is arguably the best 22lr on the planet. Before all this shit, mini mags were selling for .08 per. We are almost there with those. I like the Choot em packs and have a few just to collect. That so called boutique ammo all has it's uses. |
|
|
Local BiMart still never has .22, but SGAmmo makes up for it.
|
|
I thought the prices were still high because the libtards were buying it all up in anticipation of offing themselves when DJT tries to put them in cattle cars.
|
|
Walked out of my lgs yesterday with 500 rounds of mini-mags at 8 cpr. Left thousands on the shelf. Availability is def. up in some areas.
ETA: They had bricks of CCI sv but it was 10 cpr. |
|
I think the bigger chain stores like Cabela's and Gander Mountain have a bunch of .22 stockpiled. When they have a new store do its grand opening, they ship a few pallets to that store.
It is a lure or bait to get people into the store. |

I'm still shooting ammo from the 20th century. Not sure what this threads about.
Buy online, bulk. |

No problems finding 22lr here. I've got a ton but if I wanted more there are 3 Walmarts in my area with it in stock. You don't have to believe it but supply is absolutely increasing.

Unless I'm hunting small game like rabbit or squirrel, I just shoot 9mm for targets. It's not much more than 22lr when you roll your own, or even when you just buy WWB.

I still have CCI Stingers from 1980 in my stash bought from Target. Damn, the price was low then.

OP, your knowledge of basic economics and manufacturing processes are lacking faith in the force of the market.
CCI has the machinery to make .22. There is a demand for .22. They can make money selling .22. It doesn't matter if they make other calibers because none of those three statements is affected by the production of small amounts of speciality ammunitions. But CCI does appreciate the free advertising. If you will google your headline, you will likely find your post popping up. Regardless, Trump is making America greater. |

Couple months ago I was able to buy a crap ton of 22 at Walmart. I still see it from time to time still and will buy a few boxes when they have it. I have had no problem building a nice mini stash of 22 over the last few months.

I've been able to put back 6K in CCI Standard Velocity for $40 a brick. I remember very distictly when it was $30 a brick before Obama and I didn't have the money to stock some back then. Since Wolf MT dried up the SV has been a decent substitute for a reasonable price. I saw Eley yesterday for the same price as 8 years ago.

All I know is I have too much .22 ammo. If you've got a few friends with 10/22s, offer to take some Boy Scouts shooting. For some of them, it might be the only chance they'll ever have as kids to touch a rifle. When things were crazy tight, I gave some bricks to BSA and 4H shooting programs. Donated some to local auctions that were raising money for youh programs. Even sold some for $15 a brick to new shooters. LOL, got rid of most of my Rem Golden that way! |
