It doesn't matter what screwed up laws CA has if CA does anything it will be taken out of state court and sent to federal court where it gets kicked out as long as the agent was doing what he was supposed to do and following FBI rules. As far as the agent depends on FBI policy and probably how liked he is maybe verbal warning maybe a written maybe a couple days off. Depending on the circumstances probably get it worse from his peers then management.
