Mystic Cobra or Mystichrome Termi?

I had a Mystic 96 Cobra with a Vortech blower. The paint is fun for a while but does get old pretty quick.

Looks just fine.

You guys are the worst, any bit of change and you're instant reaction is to hate it.

Then a month goes by and things grow on you but really you're to stubborn to admit it.

Mystic. Even those were limited, I think it was the color that scared me off.

So they took away its lines to make it "smoother", but ended up watered down the styling instead?

Typical.

I'd say I was very impressed when the '15 debuted. This refresh looks like they took that car and somehow softened it up and made it look a bit frumpy.

Hopefully it looks better in the flesh. Most cars that I immediately dislike usually look better in person. We'll see!

Still not as pathetisad as this.   Mustangs in the late 80's were about as cool as K-cars.

I've yet to see any confirmation from Ford on this. It doesn't match the lines of the "camo" cars they've released. The people who released that claim the color is Ford's Fury Orange and it's not even close to the correct color, so I'm inclined to call bullshit. It also doesn't follow their typical refresh timeline.

99-04
05-09
10-14
15-19 etc...

This is a mid model refresh. Like the S197 got an update in 2013.

I guess I don't really see it that way. All they did was change the bumper covers and tail lights. the body panels are all interchangeable - it's similar to what they did in 2001 when they changed the head lights on the New Edges. I consider the platform to be the major refresh, so the SN95 platform was 94-04, S197 from 05-14, and S550 15+ each having a "mid model refresh" 5 years into it.

I really liked that style front end, but the rear end on those cars was just bleh.  I always thought they made the front look better and the rear look worse.

I was very partial to my setup on my 11. GT/CS lower fascia, Saleen grille with a GT500 rear spoiler and 13/14 tail lights.

But my 17 GT blows it away.

Yeah that 11 looks sharp.  I've always thought the rear end of those cars just looked massive.  Not bad, just not my thing really.

Your 17 looks great.  Saw a car just like it yesterday, same color at least.  It had a Brazzers windshield banner lmao  That made me make a few big assumptions about the owners level of doucheness Otherwise it was a great looking car.

I think they look pretty good.

Drove a '16 5.0 GT last fall before the snow started flying, pretty boring compared to a Camaro SS of the same year but still a nice ride for the money.

They really screwed the front end of the car up.    It is just sad and ugly.

They tried to address the hood and make it lower like that of the GT350 but they fucked that up too.

Sorry but this is shit.

The 15-17 S550, while it has a few things I dont like, is a good looking car.   Only thing I hate visually on my 2015 GT is the goddamn hood.

Look at the GT350 to see what was changed and made right with regards to the hood while also giving it a hell of a bumper cover and fenders.

This mid model refresh is ugly as hell with respects to the front bumper cover.   They tried to iron out the hood height a bit but even then managed to fuck it up with shit looking vents.

The F-150s have a sticker saying where the engine transmission and vehicle was assembled. The Mustangs on this lot are not surprisingly missing that sticker LOL

No joke.

Reminds me of the time that Top Gear made the vehicle for old people and they painted it Hearing Aid color.    Then they actually had old people drive it....

Those old Mustangs (and muscle cars in general) looked good, but you ever drive one?

I had a '67 Mustang and a '69 Z/28 Camaro.

A modern V-6 will blow one off the road and the suspension and build quality in those old cars suck.

The nostalgia, though ................

I think it's because the s550 is easier to drive. IRS and that feather light clutch make it feel smoother.
