I hope Ham, Max, and Stroll find a way to crash into one another.

Something I've wondered with the new cars this year would be what would happen if the FIA just threw out the rule book and said 'build what you want.'
Bring back the advanced traction control, the Williams active suspension, the V-8's or V-10's and max the boost out, the water cooled brakes, re-map the engines so that they make the maximum amount of power but can still theoretically complete a full race. I wonder how fast they could hustle if the teams were allowed to do whatever the hell the wanted. Not just one individual lap time, but race average. Would we see speeds 20MPH faster? 30? More? |

Red bull already did that with Gran Turismo, the Red Bull X2010, x2011, and x2014. Look like this, can do over 320 mph and it can lap the nurburgring in the 3:30's. http://i.auto-bild.de/ir_img/1/1/1/9/1/7/3/BMW-Vision-Gran-Turismo-474x316-65fbe9aa3eda535c.jpg http://blog.caranddriver.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/X2014-rear.jpg http://image3.redbull.com/rbcom/010/2013-12-19/1331625512677_2/0012/0/1/0/426/639/800/2/adrian-newey-and-kazunori-yamauchi-gran-turismo-6.jpg http://blog-imgs-38.fc2.com/f/e/r/ferrarinews/Red-Bull-X1-Model-Built-by-IDC-red-bull-x1-1.jpg View Quote |

Am I bad for hoping Hami and Max take each other out on the first turn?

I hate to say it, but I think the Ferrari hype is just marketing.
The sport needs a competitive Ferrari to get people excited. Liberty Media knows and understands this and has every reason to exploit it. America is Ferrari's biggest market, Liberty Media wishes to expand the sport in America, I would pump as much hype as I could into them as I could if I were calling the shots. Sure they look good in testing, but I remember 2016 winter testing and how good they looked then. Yes they should have won Melbourne and Canada, but they didn't and they faded. I think we'll see a stronger start, but if they don't win by Spain they may go another year without a victory. They have to rack up some early victories because they will lose the development race this year. James Allison is at Mercedes right now knowing every card in the Ferrari deck. I hope I'm dead wrong, but something doesn't add up to me. But Saturday these are all just stupid words and someone will have pole! Damn I'm excited! |

No doubt in my mind that Riccardo will be a world champion.
Fun fact: No Australian has ever been on the podium in Australia |

Hey, most of the Grand Prix's are run when I am at work at night. And I don't have cable (at least not yet I will if I have to) so I cant dvr them.
Where can I get a full rebroadcast of the races in English online? Is there such a place? |

Today is a good day. No team or driver is winning or losing, ahead or behind. There's only excitement for the next 8 months.
This Is Formula 1 |

View Quote But I just got into Superboat racing this year and WOW... when I want all-out BADASS I'll watch those on my DVR. My favorite three forms of motorsport are now Superboat, Reno Air Race, and F1 (in that order). If F1 engines still turned 18-20K rpm with 8 or more pistons... that list might be different. |

View Quote The pole position is generally set in the last 30 seconds of the last session, being last over the line can be critical. As long as your are on a hot lap when the session ends the lap counts. Ideally, you cross the line at the last second of the session. The pole can change several times in that last lap. This is a good group, lots of info. Welcome. |

I know it's just practice but I'm so ready View Quote FYI: I think that you may need the app to watch it via NBC. I don't think you can just watch it off their website. If you have a smart TV you can watch it on there, or an iPad, smart phone or in my case I'm watching it on my Xbox One. |
