In 6th grade I had a music and arts teacher, fresh out of Baylor, who was obsessed with Edgar Winter's Frankenstein. The fact that he played every instrument on the song. She would play that record for us over and over. Pretty cool, actually. |

and later went to ballroom dancing school at the local country club (my Mother, and her Mother were pro dancers and Mom thought this a good skill to learn) I hated it, but I know the Box step and the Cha-Cha-Cha I was being prepped for the Debutante Balls.

Funny how elementary schools are so into chasing trends... probably because the teachers in them never intellectually and socially left Junior High. This made me remember the parachute threads. Early '80s, urban rust belt. |
