http://i.imgur.com/PkaDPg3.jpg Right smack dab in the middle of the top of my head. Been there for a while (two months or so). Won't heal. I'm going to call a dr on monday to be on the safe side. |

Inflamed/irritated melanocytic nevus. I just had one shaved off a few days ago.
The procedure and biopsy (including pathology) were $200 cash at a dermatologist, if you're curious. |
|
Not a derm....or a doc. EMT-P and Navy corpsman. I hung out with an Independent Duty Corpsman(kinda like a PA)who did derm.
Eval'ing lesions goes by ABCDE.... Asymmetry: one half doesn't match the other half. Border irregularity: jagged, blurred. Color: not uniform, multiple shades of tan, brown, black flecked with red blue. Diameter: greater than 6mm Evolution: all the above, ABCD have changed over time. That said it looks pretty small. One quality my friend notes is that notable lesions look "angry." But you should get that looked at regardless. Top of the head and top of the ears are very common sites for moles that turn evil. |

I had something just like that when I was younger. Started as a scab and would bleed occasionally. Healed and looked tumorish. Went to the MD and he cut it out and sent for biopsy. Biopsy came back negative and the growth came back as well but has shrunk now.

That's where the Deer Tick bored into your head and is using that open port as it's asshole to dump its offal.
Google Lyme Disease, you most certainly have it. Sorry Bro. |

I would say it is less than 1/4"...probably 1/8" |

Is this the medical term for ingrown hair or undetected tick bite that scarred, got infected? But on the head? I had something similar in my pit few years ago that got infected had to get lopped off. Had a different name for it though. Was about $200 at my GP office. In true GD fashion - OP's a goner. That mark is sure sign of Bovine Trichomoniasis. View Quote Benign skin tumor. |

Can you tell by the pixels? |

Anything which doesn't heal needs to be looked at and evaluated.

I got a number of skin growths on my head that the wife has been after me to have the doc look at. I always read that skin cancer was pretty easy to have lopped off so haven't been that concerned. |

I'd say you caught the vampire, cuz that's some pale-ass scalp for that sort-ass thin hair.

Might as well try trepanning there now. Maybe put in something useful like Bluetooth.

What is your definition of flat? it really feels like any other raised scab. it just doesnt heal View Quote dont listen to that. flat doesnt mean shit. judging by the size compared to your finger just make a dermatologist appt. not a regular doctor either. unless theyll hack it off and send it in ti a dermapathologist or whatever the correct term is vs a regular lab |

I say this with all niceties- if you are not sure what you are looking at then you're being a dumbass. One thing the Aussies know a lot about is skin cancer and they are very aggressive in treating skin lesions. Melanoma can grow very quickly. It can become life-threatening in as little as six weeks and if untreated, it can spread to other parts of the body. It can appear on skin not normally exposed to the sun. Studies also show that even five serious sunburns in your youth can increase your risk of melanomas by up to 80%. |
