Is pretty dang decent. It's been a while, at least a week, since I've watched it all the way through. TNT is ruining my weekends with this continued showings.

People will complain it was too fancy and dance like, but they forget they train their whole lives every single move over and over, they aren't brawling, they probably thought 5 moves ahead of the moves they are doing. It is a great fight scene.

It's pretty dang good, I agree.
I dig the opening flight sequence, showing the magnitude of the battle. The Clone troopers and the different styles they wore are still one of my favorite things about III. Camo Trooper that Yoda takes care of was one of the coolest |

Great scene, and why Obi-Wan is one of the best Jedi of all time.

That damn "duel" took what felt like 20 minutes.
Ever seen the way an old-school samurai movie depicted the fight between two combatants who were both masters of the sword? That's more like it. |
|
The emotion of the duel is what makes it so interesting.
Obi-Wan clicks into Jedi mode then when Anakin is getting burned up he gets all emotional like family. |

Can't wait for next weekend and the new movie. |

I have the special addition 6 -movie box set. In it it shows them training for that scene.IIRC, Took them a month or so of practicing to get it perfect.
I remember one statement about the scene, "It is all them & They are that fast". First time I saw the movie that scene had me emotional & contemplating relationships & betrayals. Then I contemplated how Ben should have Force shoved him into the lava & ended it right then & there. The thing is Sidious would have just found another apprentice... Evil seeks out Evil for Evils sake. Watching Episode 4 again after that scene left me suddenly disappointed in their second duel. |

My favorite will always be Maul VS qui gon and kenobi. Even the first encounter between Qui Gon and Maul on Tatooine was fantastic. Ray Parks was the catalyst behind the best light saber scenes IMO.

I should hope so. None of the people that use lightsabers in the force awakens had much formal training with them. Kylo went to train with uncle luke but left him pretty quickly View Quote I have read some of the Jedi Academy books but missed the one where he leaves/turns. What happened to his twin sister? |

I just watched it too. I like when Yoda gets into action more.

I thought the fight scene was good. I liked it better than the Yoda vs Doku.

All things being equal, Yoda could take any one of them including sidious.

The prequels get a lot of grief but all in all they are pretty decent, 2 and 3 in particular can hold thier own.
The immense cheesiness of 1 however destroyed a lot of goodwill people had for the franchise. I highly recommend seeking out the "Anti-cheese" edits of the prequel trilogy, a Private editor cut down all the cringeworthy moments to keep just the fundamentals of the story and they actually are quite watchable and enjoyable. Episode 1 was cut to the bone, but is frankly much much better for it. |

I have to agree that Yoda could take them all, but Obi-Wan is a badass. The only way that Anakin(Vader) beat him was giving up to become even more powerful.

Certifiable Star Wars geek here.
Haters can suck it, but Episode III is one of my favorites |

Yup. The over done CGI bukkake doesn't help either And STILL better than any of the crap in the original trilogy Bless your heart. You're so used to getting splooged in the face with CGI that you just don't know any better. |

At least Anakin became regional manager of Lazer Moon, while Obi Wan was just Duke's deadbeat dad.

It's pretty awesome.
It also shows that Hayden Christensen is capable of great acting when Lucas isn't feeding him shit dialogue. His facial expressions and body language are great during that whole sequence. |

View Quote I like it, especially the musical score and Civil War letter. Brings "the feeling" to the fight scene. |

The latest trailers show them taking a run a Death Star 1. Does this mean the one in A New Hope is Death Star 2? I guess what I'm getting at is, I hope a lot of Rebels die in Rogue One. Can't wait for Friday. |

The original version of the fight was better...
"Only a flesh wound..." |
|
The only movie I don't like in the series is Episode I. The shitty dialogue and child actor just ruin damn near every single scene.
All the rest have their redeeming qualities. |
