Image upload is failing. Here is the link. it is missing the file extension, but even manually adding it fails.

Avatar upload fails also.

Using Chrome Version 55.0.2883.87 m (64-bit)

it was on MAC safari and firefox form a PC. Seems to be fixed today

Same problem with my laptop. Browser is Pale Moon (fork of Firefox). I tried "shift key" and refresh but still no videos, just a blank space.

Others are having the same issue.....

If you go to one of the video pages that isn't showing videos, SHIFT+RELOAD the page to ensure you are getting the latest files. We merged the code that handles youtube videos into our new library. You need to have this new file or they wont show up. You must SHIFT+RELOAD or clear your cache to get them. You need to do the SHIFT+RELOAD on a page where a video is not showing up, but should be there.

Another small update...

- messenger update for the deleting issue. (Was just not updating properly.)
- updated the uploader for media files to fix the missing extension issue, the double . extension issue, and a couple other small items.
- Updated the default avatar with a properly sizes (and smaller file size) version (had previously done this, but put into the wrong directory!)

Hopefully this info and fix will help with images and videos.

Editing a post with emojis in the original post is causing the edited post to just have text and not the emoji when submitted.

Embedded video still not working. Yes, I have forced page reloads on pages with videos not showing. They still don't show. I've closed my browser so it dumps everything, and started ARF fresh. Still no video. Tried the forced reload again. Still no video.

Threads stop short and don't load all the way, flash in and out. Can't see the number of posts in threads. This is on a Kindle HDX and an S6. Seems OK on laptops.

W8 w/ Chrome...in my IM box, NONE of the buttons on the 'page number bar' work...so I can only view the IMs on page 1. Only way to get further down the list is to delete IMs on page 1 causing other msgs to 'scroll' onto the page. <img src=http://www.ar15.com/images/smilies/icon_smile_dead.gif border=0 align=middle> The page # drop down will drop down and show me how many pages of IMs I have, but I can select any page I want and nothing loads.

Also, when I click on a folder on the list on the left....nothing happens. If I right click and try to open the folder link in a new tab, the new tab opens as "about: blank". <img src=http://www.ar15.com/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

***update***

just tried the IM features in IE11 on the same PC and everything works fine...so it looks like it's a chrome compatibility issue...

Not sure what was causing the issue, but when I put in "ar15.com" in the Silk browser on my Fire 7", it would crash before I could log in.

Installed Google play, then Firefox and now the world continues to turn normally.

Still can't see poll results on mobile, Android with Chrome.

CLEAR YOUR BROWSER CACHE ON A PAGE WITH VIDEOS THAT YOU DO NOT SEE. FOR MOST BROWSERS IT'S HOLDING DOWN SHIFT WHILE CLICKING THE RELOAD PAGE BUTTON.

Try a different browser and see if they show.

It could be JavaScript you are blocking. The code was moved into a library and if they are not showing then you are either blocking the code from running or don't have the code latest version.

With the dialogue box that pops up for pictures... I always paste them and hit enter. Before, that would be like clicking "submit"... and now it isn't. Please restore that.

Tonight the mobile site has started doing what the old site did... I have to skip a line under a quote or whatever I'm typing jumps into the quote box. Android, chrome.

I may be not seeing it but the option to change the ~~font~~ text size on mobile view is not there. It is available on desktop view though.

Any idea why my iPhone (safari and Firefox) cuts off half of the screen on every reload or page change.

Can the the font size option be made available on mobile?

I assume this is on a mobile device? It should be ok once you click on the menu option to "view full site". Try that and let me know if it keeps kicking you out. You may want to click on it, then close the window for the site, and open a new one. It should save the value for you and open into the full site.

Ok update for today...

- updated military icon from tank to...
- fixed archive search error if nothing was being returned
- fixed admin bugs
- main login window will now accept enter button to submit form
- upload issues with multiple . or spaces in name should be fixed, with a backup fix
- homepage newsletter box (subscribe button) now working properly
- added a confirmation box for converting forums into forum groups (mostly for companies/admins)
- quotes in old posts updating to new styles (may show on next update with file that handles display)
- emotes should now be handled on edit
- member level notes updated
- media system received a lot of attention to try to fix several issues. Hopefully the 200 errors will cease, the file name issues are fixed, and the linking issues are fixed (posting into threads). If you get an error or have an issue, shift+reload the uploading page where you are getting said issue and try it again.

This should cover what was updated today. Still plenty of things to work on and I should have another update on Monday. If you are having strange issues, make sure to SHIFT+RELOAD a page first. There have been a few major changes which need fresh files. This should address the video issue for those who have old files cached. It will also address a few other items of note with display problems.

Thanks for another great update. The "hit enter to submit" thing is a minor detail but much nicer, thanks.

I thought the new tank icon was kind of cool but the dog tags and branch are great too. Maybe I'll finally submit my 214 lol.

One thing I've noticed is that when I'm in the Hometown EE forum, the post are not chronological.

I'll see post with the last post/update from months ago above post with today's date.
