It has always worked based on the last post on the page you read, otherwise it has no way to know where on the page you stopped reading. This new site could probably do that, but that would come later. Trust me, it has not worked in the way you think. I still have the old site running and can provide video proof if you really don't believe me, but since I know the code, I think you can trust me!

In order to know your actual post position, I would need to have your client call the server as you scrolled, then update at the point based on your scroll focus with the id of the last post on the page. The intensity of that transaction (or continual transaction, even buffered) would not be worth the resources. Just too intensive. I probably could come up with a more streamlined way to do it, but it was not in the old site in that manner.

Still playing with what can fit... new updates I'll go over in a minute. Hold phone sideways and I think you'll see the community, but not the forum.

It is slower, we are working on that as we fix bugs and will be dedicated to this once we are through major issues.

It's an active script for non-team. No script for team. Also only on display for them, not as they type. It could be part of the new viruses spreading. I'll try to grab a link and see what I can find out.

It has to be cookie issues with your phone. Once it's set, it should never go back unless the phone dumps the cookie or you manually change it back.

Ok caught up so here's tonight's MASSIVE update... more to come tomorrow. I apologize to non-team for not getting the active/newest tool fixes in here. I need to redo the stored procs for them, the old ones are causing the issues. The OP highlight is back to normal and other stuff got fixed, but I will work on that tomorrow.

- fixed few 500 errors across misc areas.
- adjusted fonts and application of personal font choices to thread topics, forum titles, post body (already there), and editor tool.
- adjusted font pref sizes to more appropriate scale since font change altered things.
- fixed generic modal issue
- fixed video issues with youtube - bw hogging, display issues, etc
- updated feedback to now show different icons based on feedback numbers and rating.
- adjusted rating levels so 90%+ is green, 75%+ is orange, and red for anything less than that. Grey will only show for anyone with zero feedback.
- Using new tooltip device for the summary number display (totals feedback and %)
- adjusted join date to not show month in mobile view as it was supposed to be.
- added LINK TO THIS POST as an icon next to posted dates.
- hiding user signatures on small mobile views.
- added bookmark icon to vertical view, which was missing.
- adjusted order of buttons on userbar (under posts) as requested.
- fixed post screen display for bronze users with attach buttons being out of sorts (It's now lower out of your way)

- updated editor to show a placeholder instead of video, helps cut down on client issues.

- forum names now active links back to page 1
- post images and videos now either neutral protocol or https (should show up for those not seeing them previously)

- fixed bug with contact profile page where it was not properly saving your settings
- misc spacing issues addressed on website and we will continue to do this, so we're not even close to done!
- image/content scrolling off the side of your views should be fixed, please let me know if otherwise. Please shift+reload (clear your cache) before reporting as not fixed so we are sure you have the latest files. It's working fine for me on my phone now and tested on android as well.


That's the bulk of it for tonight's update. I also had to fix a bug introduced tonight with the EEFeedback (I missed it on dev... oops!) and I also failed ot push one file properly in the pack which caused those 500 errors for a few seconds. (I named a directory wrong... damn you lack of sleep!)

We have a lot still on our plate and nothing mentioned here has been ignored. If I did not reply to you or address an issue, it's more than likely on the fix list. Tomorrow I'll focus first on those tool issues I mentioned when I started this post. I also need to find a nice way to allow fullscreen youtube videos to play since i haven't been able to inject allowfullscreen in properly. (Keeps hating me and ignoring my demands. Damn you code!!!! DAMN YOU TO HELLLLLLL!!!)

I will be around for a couple minutes to answer any other questions and check error logs. Then off to bed.

For you sir I will try to make it work, but it's hard to fit so much into small screens. You can use the full site if you want, it's a menu choice on the left hamburger list. (If you dont like, to return to mobile view the link is in the footer of the page since the hamburger is no longer available.)

If you can send me a link example I will get it done and also fix the posts with the issues.

Have I mentioned I hate youtube yet.

Since there is a link from mobile to desktop version in the main drop down, could there also be a link from desktop to mobile?  I had to hunt for it and I've seen that question asked a few times.

Sometimes on my phone I might switch back and forth for whatever reason.
