I don't think that a tank would help. The larger dinos can move fast and can tip those over. I think that they can even crush one. Forget handguns, dinos have very tough skins and very thick bones, some even have armor. Shotgun shot would bouce off and slugs wouldn't penetrate far. What one needs is a large caliber, multiple shot, rifle loaded with armor piercing rounds that one can carry. Is there a auto 50BMG out there that is portable? Personally I have on me a brand new pair of Nike's so I can run like the wind while I throw grenades over my shoulder to cover my advancement to the rear.

Think I'll carry:

- Vollmer HK51B (belt-fed .308)
- HK G3
- That revolving grenade launcher from Predator
- Rocket pack to get me the hell outta there!

I'd bring along a six pack of beer, a lawn chair, and Steve Irwin, the croc hunter.  Then I'd kick back and drink a cold one while Steve took care of the lizards.

"Criky, mate!  That's a big one!"

Well this depends,
For flatland I would carry a Barret 82a with a modified 30rd mag loaded with those explosive Raufuss(sp?) rounds, willy peter grenades(standard ones just aint gonna cut it). M72 Laws rockets. Maybe an AR with one of those trick Tromix uppers in a 20" barrel length in a major caliber loaded with nice pointed tungsten rounds in a modified Beta mags so they can carry about 50 of'em. A desert eagle 50AE with tungsten roundMonocular night vision and heat detection equipment with siezmic intrusion devices.

For jungle,
Claymores with motion sensing firing ability, More willie peter, the above tromix AR in a 16" barrel length with the addition of a M203 with flechette rounds. Cut down Remminton Sp10 10Ga with flechettes and flamethrowing rounds. 20lbs of C-4. Monocular night vision and heat detection equipment with siezmic intrusion devices. Maybe a flamethrower.

or for REALLY silly, a ghostbusters Nuclear proton accelerator backpack laser with a 5000 year halflife. :)

There's nothing in Jurassic Park that a good, well supplied M-60 couldn't cut in half.

The real question is, what would Imbroglio do since all he would have is a 10/22 and a .38 along with a virgin body.  He would be toast.

He would quickly splatter his brains with
his .38 before a T Rex could snap him in two.

Dont think he would hit him self though.lol

Yup, he'd be lunch.

Then again, I'd be willing to bet he's got more than a 10/22 & a .38.

I would have a Huey like in Apocolypse Now except no Wagner, instead I would have an Alanis Morrisette CD.  The dinos wouldn't get within a mile with that crap playing.

First, I woul act like it was gonna be a great tour and invite evry anti-gun person I could.  Then when the dinos stated to eat them, I'd say "Sorry, HB 32200asswiper won't let me bring a firearm to this park, so I cant save your sorry buts.  See ya!"  Then I'd haul ass to the nearest well prepared person with the M1 abrams.  My personal stash would have to be a Kimber, an a FAL and as much ammo as I could manage to carry.

If I was stranded alone on an island full of Dinos, I might as well carry a Beretta .25 becuase I'll never kill them all.

I have thought long and hard about this question(I'm a college student, what else am I going to do?) and have come up with a starteling realization.  YOU ARE GOING TO DIE!!!!!  There is no way around it.  Short of being airlifted off the island, you will die.  Therefore any weapon would only hold them off for a while.
There are a number of factors that must be considered when choosing.
First is weight, that rules out the GE minigun.  I am assuming that you would want to be able to move around to avoid a quick end (Make them work for their meal[:D])
The second is firepower.  You want a fairly large bullet since these are some pretty big dinos that you are going to deal with.  This would rule out an AR15/M16 (I know, I'm going to get flamed for saying this, but bare with me).  I love the 5.56mm as much as anyone but let's face it, it is not going to have any effect on a T-Rex.
After having considered these factors I would have to go with a .458 SOCOM Jack-Hammer from "Tromix" with a 16" barrel and a collapsable stock.  In addition to this I would mount an M-203 under the barrel for the larger dinosaurs.  And if Tony does not already make a gun that fits this description then I would have him custom make one for me (this is fantasy after all).
This gun would not keep you alive indefinately however.  You would still probably get eaten, but they would have to work really hard for this particular human nugget[}:D].

BEGIN JOKE:

I'd bring Janet Reno's severed head in a burlap sack. When a hungry T-Rex came around my camp I'd just pull out the head, facing away from me of course, and watch the big critter turn to stone.

Or how about a trained Yeti to caddy my Stinger missile colection. "I'll try a #2, Yapp. Thank you. FOUR!"

END JOKE

I'd bring the Mall Ninja.  He could take care of them all while I set up a little dino-skin boot/jacket shop.

Nothin' like havin' a Mall Ninja on your side when things get unreal.

.600 Nitro double, .505 Gibbs, or a .416 Rigby (at the smallest)  Double, of course.

M79 for backup work.

Pintle-mounted M2 for the wheels.

C4 satchel charges, M1 pull fuzes, some PETN for making Dino-traps and chunky dino kibble.

Rottweilers to keep the park neat, and to clean up all that chunky kibble...
