We'll see more of this on Page 1? 'Cause it's already there. Okay, I guess it slipped to page 2. |

By seeing more of this, do you mean more dupes, or more trafficking articles?

How about the percent that were not recovered?
Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

[#9]
No, of the 20% of guns recovered statewide that were "likely trafficked", 25% of them were from GA.

|
[#11]
And I give a shit why? Why should free states change their laws because NY citizens have a predilection for crime?

I guess if they are saying 25% of the guns are glocks then I guess its true....somewhat lol. |

I'd believe it. Thugs come down, steal guns, then take them back north.
I know for a fact some of my dad's guns that got stolen ended up in Shitcago. And that was in the early 90s |

Only 25%? Sounds like we've got room to grow in 2017. View Quote Sounds like cooked numbers. They said they investigated initial sales and not transfer/background checks. Glocks factory is in GA and I'm betting they cooked the numbers buy including dealer sales. Say a gun store in Mass or NY ordered 500 Glocks....guess what....that's 500 guns that originated in GA from the leading firearms maker.....no matter where or who made the second purchase. |

So illegally trafficked firearms by non qualified persons is already illegal right? Sounds like they need to focus on catching criminals.

You are welcome. Those of us in GA are happy to do our part to help aspiring rap stars achieve their life goals. |

Gun dealers in those states need to start calling police immediately if anything seems off.
Not to arrest straw buyers. But to arrest the sting buyers from New York who are going to try to buy guns to help the narrative. |

I clicked on. NIJ report about some strategy for intervening in gun trafficking (assuming it was a success) and was greeted with a "no report exists" page.
I suspect they use this story but depend on the press to make it so. |

Every weekend in Atlanta a different area of town has been hit with car break-ins, even church parking lots during service. I've heard the numbers but can't recall exactly, somewhere around 5-600 guns stolen in those robberies this year. Police think it is gang related and the guns are headed north, that is outside any retail numbers.

Assuming it used the ATF of FBI data entry hat was pushed a while ago, it has at least two major flaws.
1) Time to Crime - many of the guns weren't JUST sold in their originating state, they were sold 20 years ago. 2) It is the original sale only. The lazy person who compiled from he statistics probably contacted the manufacturer and asked who they shipped it to. Anyone bought a firearm on the internet? Wasn't from the manufacturer... So you get tagged as the state that dealer sold the gun. It's all about pushing that "iron pipeline" narrative so that the antigunners can shut down interstate commerce in guns. |
