30 caliber makes a lot more sense when you don't understand maneuvering or small unit tactics.

It's not like they have a choice in weapons. No AIM Surplus or DSG Arms to order from.

Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: I wouldn't feel undergunned with a FAL Because it comes down to training. Most of the fighters in that part of the world do mag dumps with AK's so not really sure what you mean by training? |

Size and weight isn't all that bad comparatively. Reliability. Soft shooting for a 762 Accurate enough. Adjustable gas system on the fly Easy to pop a mag out, throw a new one in, and hit the bolt release(ergonomics) Finally hard hitting. |

Looks like a buncha guys shooting whatever they can get their hands on.

Instructor Zero has a YouTube series about wildlife rangers in Africa using FAL rifles on patrols. Episode 2 dropped a few days ago. This thread and those videos make me want a FAL.

They are using them because it's what they have not what's best.
If you want a DMR use something in 6.5 creedmore. There are much better options than .308 Also lol at the "sniper" in the second pic with his barrel hanging out the loophole. |

Dead Muslim Riflemen is the only DMR I see occurring or imminent in those pictures.

I personally have not ran into that issue. Mine has ate everything as of late. Tula, wolf, Hirtenberger, some german stuff that the headstamp has been sanitized(although I had to crank up the gas for this stuff) It by no means is my first pick. But if that's what I had I wouldn't be upset in the slightest. I suppose of the major battle rifles its the one I trust and like. I do not care for the G3 series what so ever |

Pic 1. Business? Or business causal?
The slacks say business, but the lack of tie and his demeanor whisper casual. |

That guy in the first pic definitely has a 9-5 job at a desk, but then operates in the evenings.

Love the welded on scope mount, on the FAL dust cover. Wonder how straight that is! Wonder if a genuine FN, or a foreign contract. |

I like the DMR rifle in Battlefield 4. I do much better using one of them than the M4.

I still am FAL and that will never change but they are not the best with steel cased ammo. A few guys on the FAL files had rifles blow up. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Well that's concerning considering that's basically what I like to blast away with in my FAL I would have to assume their headspacing was off or a wore shoulder that would make the steel case burst. Any speculation as to what happened? |

We can chamber DMRs in excellent cartridges here in the civilized world, and 6.5C beats 7.62x51 like the red headed stepchild of a rented mule. |

Does 7.52x51 make any difference if the people shooting it can't hit anything?
