I'm very excited about this!  I've been collecting 1921 Colt Thompson stuff for about half a year, and also have finally bought a registered 1921A Colt Thompson.  Pictures of that to come, but for now I wanted to show pictures of the box of original shot shell ammo I scored recently as well.  Very interesting piece of history from the 1920s.

I also know some of you have Colt Thompson gun / parts collections, so please feel free to post pictures of your here as well to share if you like.  I'm sure we all like seeing them!

I'm almost positive I had a few of those empty casings at one point.

I thought it strange that they had "AC" instead of "ACP" on the headstamp.

Cool, never knew this existed. What's a box of those worth?

Are they hard enough to feed without breaking apart?

Or would they have been?

Papa had a box or two of these, tried them a few years ago and it wouldn't cycle in my Kimber, trash ammo. I think I have a few round in a bucket in my garage.

Not really

That's a great score.

I had read about those years ago but never seen a pic.

I live close to the old Peters Cartridge Co. factory in Kings Mills, and drive by there frequently. It still stands, including the shot tower. I've fished in the reservoir that was the water source for production and firefighting (good largemouth fishing). Last I heard it was being converted to commercial studio lots. I have a handful of empty WW2 era .30 carbine cases from Peters. The town of Kings Mills pretty much originated with that factory.

Yep, I lucked in to one of the original Colt 18rd Shot magazines at a gun show a couple months back....I still can't believe how much it was worth.

NEAT

Now you need fuzzy chaps and a big old Tom Mix hat for shootin' rustlers from your front porch.

I love that Auto Ord advertisement for the Thompson.

Automatic Colt Thompson only ammo = AC
Automatic Colt Pistol = ACP

Just a guess?

Very cool OP.

Got a low 2000's sn...

Do you think the low sn's w/out a comp are generally worth more?

I'm really not sure.  I just know I wanted a gun without the compensator.  I prefer the way it looks.
