Seven grand a week.. how much after taxes?

If it were $7k after taxes, per week, for life... that's not too bad. I could live comfortably off of that.

As opposed to ~3.5k after Uncle Sugar gets done with you?

No, please don't throw me in that briar patch!

(that is $91k/year net).

Show your work.

.   52x$3500.00=??

A LOT of people take the lump sum in lotteries. They're probably the same people who finance $70k trucks for 96 months.

Different ball game.

I would 100% take the lump sum on a number in excess of 20mil, installments for less.

Sad.

But I'm sure the majority blow it on silly crap and die of drug overdoses.

That's one SR-25, an SR-15 Mod 2, SR-15 CQB, four tax stamps (SBR and three suppressors).....every month

Or that is dual PVS-14's and the whole shebang (gear)....every month

That's 45,000 rounds of Wolf Gold .223 from AIM....every month

I could get used to that.

I'd have all the guns. And some land to shoot them on, and a house to store them in. And a light tank for traveling into town during snowy weather.

After I went a little crazy for a while, I'd start laying the groundwork for a business.

Don't forget the tax man is going to take a big bite out of that $7k a week.  Single guy?  You'll be lucky if it nets out to $5k.

Well, you could spend every penny you make and blow people for food now if you want.  No lottery winnings required.

Just sayin.  Where there's a will.......there's a way.

With 7 grand a week?

A Ferrari 458 Spyder.
A cabin in Wyoming.
A little place on the beach in Hawaii.

But in reality I'd probably just blow the 7 grand a week buying custom 1911s, Pythons, pretty shotguns, and gobs of ammo to the point I'd have to work at McDonalds to pay for food.

SGAmmo conversation would go like this:

"OK.  What about the 2-pallet discount?"

While you could do that, that could be a bit much for that level of income. $360 grand a year is about what a slightly above average specialist doctor makes.  A fine living but when you start buying expensive cars and multiple homes, you can get in over your head fast.

Yeah, but I'd be working as a specialist and getting $7,000 a week.  The 7K would be my spending money.

Uhhh, ya, I would be able to.  First few months all the bills go bye bye.  After that, find a good property in the middle of no where.  Then build house to my specs.  Then stock said house and property.  Ya, throw in food and my annual trip and a couple other trips and for at least the first five years, every single penny would be spent.  After that, it could still be fairly easy to spend it all.  I would not do it, but it could be done easily.

I signed up for it. I promise if the van full of faggots show up with the fake cardboard check, I'll tell them in GD style, "It'll be a bit of a pay cut, but somehow I'll manage." And if asked what I plan on buying first, I'll tell them, "Two chicks at the same time."

hit taxes on both, at 360K you would be at about 33% tax bracket(ie 240k per year in take home) while at 540k your are also solidly in the 39.1% bracke sot, so more like 330K in take home, so one year and 4 months an you have broken even.

Haha! As a happily married guy that option is off the table for me (unless I wanted to part with half of my 7,000 a week for life)

I'll live vicariously through you though, enjoy!

If it was a clean break, half of $364K/year (=$182K/year) I could live on, and be happy.  Hell if you juggled the taxes right you might end up ahead!
