So, cubs seem to act like they've already won, media and fans acting the same. I won't be surprised in the least if Indians win this entire thing. This is surprising. (but it's true I'm not exactly sure what you mean when you say 'cubs seem to act') Can you post any links to articles or videos that show this? Any quotes from players or coaches? I assume you don't mean mindless drivel from drunk fans on Waveland, which is inevitable and expected. I probably don't pay as close attention to it as a hard core fan, but I haven't seen anything like what you describe. I know alot of Cubs fans, and not a single one is saying anything of the sort. all the newspaper headlines after the NLCS win, all the sports talk heads after the nlcs win, all the talk of 'what curse' and 'the curse is over'... there's plenty of places that showed all the headlines... just seemed to me the indians were much more subdued in there ALCS win... just my observations. i know there's a lot to be excited about in a league championship. but teams still gotta win four more. The curse was related to them not making the World Series. Thats why you keep hearing the media say its over, etc. Ah.. thought it pertained to them winning as well. Thx man |

This series, I'm taking game to game. Everyone doubted the Indians all year. And now we're in the WS.
Win, lose, or draw this has been a hell of a season and introduced my kids to baseball. I have nothing to complain about. Downtown tonight has the ring ceremony for the Cavs and a few feet away game 1 of the WS. Of course they can do it. Will they? I dunno. But we're all in! |

Updated standings. Interestingly, FDrifting and Spent_Casing did not pick the number of WS games for the tiebreaker, which means ChrisGarret would win the tiebreaker if the Cubs win and G_S would win the tiebreaker if the Indians win.

Fail
8:00 start They are killing the game. Losing kids, and me. Im in bed by 10 for 5 AM wakeup. Im very interested in watching this series, as a neutral baseball fan. Ill try to make it to the 9th, but MLB is missing the mark here. If it gets into a bunch of pitching changes and double switches it easily can go 4 hours. Plus you know inning changeovers will be longer to stuff in commercials. And every close play will go to replay.... |

West coast games are tough. Staying up till 1:00am to watch baseball is above my pay grade...... but I did it when I needed to. Cleveland and prime time keeps the hour reasonable. My games start at 7 I dont stay up for west coast games. So if the Dodgers are playing the Mets at 7 youre getting it at 4? Thats different? 810 first pitch is stupid. Adults are already fans. You let your kid stay up on a school night till 11? Growing the viewer ship or maintaining the viewer ship requires kids to give a damn. Average over all attendance Dodgers over Mets, who sucked, was 7000 approx. Boston, NYY, Mets Toronto, top 10. Only 2 of them were in contention. And the weather sucks early and late in the season. Boston only seats 32k. Yanks were an anomally. They were terrible. Whatever...ill read about it on google. Cmon Cubbies! Eta Buck needs to shut up. The announcers are suvking the air out of the stadium. |
