It was a good year. No Bosox, Wankees or O's made it through to the final 4 but we did. We took care of the ineptly managed O's and the laughable Rangers. Another banner to hang at Rogers Center. Winners 2 years in a row of baseballs toughest division.
Well I guess congrats to the Cleveland Indigenous Peoples . I don't envy them though because, well, they have to go back to Cleveland. |

Cubs fans: what he heck happened to Jason Hayward?
Dude used to be a monster at the plate, and now he is nothing more than a defensive specialist who is subpar at best in the box? How does that happen? He should be in his prime.. |

Congrats to you Cleveland boys. Hoping for a series for the ages!

Our bats went to sleep for some reason, too right hand heavy I guess. Your pitching staff was well managed by Francona. I like how you have a stopper and a closer. Its something we lacked as our pen was horrible in one run games.
So carry on and win it for the AL, beat those Dodgers because Californians , they're almost worse than Canadians. |

Looks like that one run for the Dodgers doesn't really matter now.

Another hit it could have been 2-0. A double it could have been 3-0 Dodgers. One play can change an inning or game. You never know. |

"Looked like it would have been a double play ball, instead Montgomery turns it into a two run single."

Cubs one win away and headed back home. Looking more like a Cleveland Indians and Chicago Cubs World Series.
Last time the Cubs won a World Series- 1908. William Taft was President, there were 46 states, Mel Blanc, Bette Davis, Milton Berle, and Don Ameche are born, and a Ford Model T cost $850. Last time the Cleveland Indians won a World Series- 1948. Harry Truman was President. There were 48 states, the Hell's Angels MC was founded, the first monkey astronaut was launched into space, Al Gore, Clarence Thomas, and Samuel L. Jackson are born, and Babe Ruth died that year. Crazy year for us baseball lovers. |

kershaw can't start two games.. looking grim for the dodgers

Hits and runs come and go, but losing games 4 and 5 at home 10-2 and 8-4, after being up 2-1 is a dagger in the heart. Not expecting much, certainly not the Cubs dropping two at home, but anything's possible. Would have been nice to have gotten another victory and go back there needing one of two. Oh well... Chris |

Let this go all 7 games with a Cubs win.
The longer that Cleveland has time off, the more it will throw off their game. In baseball, time off is not usually good. |

View Quote I'm a Cardinal fan that by law has to root against the Cubs, but I also love seeing baseball history and love when a team that hasn't won in a long time is in the WS....I'm so conflicted on this NLCS. Unfortunately I don't have cable so I havnt seen much of the post season but the WS is on Fox, and a Indians/Cubs WS would have me glued to the TV. Can you imagine the TV ratings where the Cubs could be on the verge of a win? |

I don't know about you guys, but last night I was in some depression! No baseball to watch, sucked.
Amped up for tonight's game. I think the Cubs win tonight, and Kershaw shows he's human after all. |
|
So the Cubs have a chance to clintch tonight .....Hm........
|
|
Need a Dodgers win tonight, then the Cubs or Dodgers can win tomorrow.
Need a Game 7 y'all! Go get 'em Clay! |

If the Cubs win tonight and then lose the World Series, then Chicago MUST burn.

kershaw is out there throwing batting practice... over 20 pitches an inning.. wow

just when you think kershaw got over that 'hump'... They are tearing him up. it doesn't help the dodgers offense is fucking anemic, but the 'best pitcher in baseball' should pitch a lot better than this. |
