IMHO, Trump lost last night. He was unable to give a specific plan of action on some key issues, ie, Law and Order. That said, those things are what a cabinet is for. At least he was truthful, even if the truth hurt him.
Hillery pandered. She lied. She flip flopped on her issues. But, she was detailed, did not give round-about answers. In other words, she looked like a poltician and he looked like normal guy Joe-schmo, trying to keep up. Thats what I think America needs. |

If you believe there is zero chance of constitutional amendments getting passed, then you have already accepted defeat.
No one man is going to fix this problem. We got an amendment passed after a civil war...the most divided this nation has EVER been. Maybe more people should look at the constitution for answers rather than politicians. But what can you expect...people don't want a solution. They want free shit. Both sides. |

I'm going to post my opinion of the debate here instead of the main debate thread because all the derp in that thread...
Who won? Neither candidate won, because it wasn't a true debate, it was once again just another clear cut event where the media attacked trump, and insulated/protected clinton... Lets face it, their are not many here on this forum that are independent voters, the line is quite clear here...The general election debates are to sway the independents to vote for one side or the other...Independent voters do not care about republican or democrat, they about who's best suited for the job...That means they are looking both candidates to answer the hard questions surrounding their candidacy...Trump was asked all the hard questions concerning his, and his answers were decent..But on the flip side Clinton was NOT asked any of the hard questions surrounding her candidacy ...It is my belief that the independents clearly seen this last night, and in my opinion, i believe the majority of the independent vote wont go to trump or clinton, it will go to johnson/stein and nobody(<--no vote)... I also believe the next 2 debates will see far fewer viewers because of this sham of a so called "debate"...

I will admit to being shocked at the reaction to the debate I saw here. I was a Cruz guy, and yeah he would have been the better man by far, and yeah I can't fucking believe that we ended up with Donald, but we ended up with Donald. One of two people will win, and between the two of them, Hillary is by far the worst, it isn't even close. So I will vote Trump.
Obviously some will not. And they were out in force last night. I did not watch the debate, I only read reactions. From General Discussion to Breitbart (pro Trump), HotAir (anti Trump), Townhall (anti Hillary) to Daily Wire (anti Trump, Ben Shapiro's site). None of them were as negative as our own General Discussion was. It was like GD was watching a different debate. Our own General Discussion reaction to Trump's debate performance was closer to that of Democratic Underground and Huffington Post. How does that happen on a gun forum? It was strange, that is for sure. I didn't think his performance was good, but I didn't think it was a dumpster fire, either. An example of a dumpster fire performance would be James Stockdale. |

Not sure what debate everyone else was watching but trump overall won the debate I was watching. His first half was a lot stronger than the second half. He struggled with a few of the questions but many of the questions were also one sided.

I never posted or replied to anything during the debate. I've not seen the postings you speak of, but I do not question the validity of your proclamation.
I will, however, say this: I supported Cruz in the primaries. I still wish he had become the (R) candidate. The debate last night has made me want that even more. Trump looked like an inarticulate 7th grader up there. He couldn't make one coherent, concise point. He rambled around with his mind going 17 different directions at once, but never quite getting to any clear destination. It was maddening. Cruz would have eviscerated Clinton and he would have done so in an articulate, intelligent manner. Am I going to vote for Trump? Of course, I am. This is only about the SCOTUS, as far as I'm concerned. But dammit, I wish the Republican party could put up a candidate that could put together a coherent thought. |

Shouldn't you be mad at Mr. Trump? He didn't study, he didn't practice, didn't do his homework, he just went up there winged it and calls that a victory.
