Sounds like he needs to be locked up and the key thrown away.
"He is a predator who cannot and will not be rehabilitated," Roth added at his hearing, which took place by video link. "In this case, we are not bringing to you a possibility, but a sure thing. When and if this man is released, he will re-offend. And he will do so with children." View Quote UK News - Michigan Incident Video: |

That's a big fella. There are times I wish for poetic justice. This is one of them. That big guy abusing little kids. Everything to befall him- no regerts.

Although he looks like a white jihadi, I do not get the terrorism charges.

Do they not have metal detectors and x-rays in courthouses in Michigan? They do here.

So.....what happened to the metal detectors at the frt door of the Court House?
OK, if there were none....maybe, it's time to take a hint? Course, I'm not saying that a metal detector could find a "plastic knife." But, it's a start. Aloha, Mark |

Hopefully gets another 5 years if he's not already sentenced to life.
ETA: looks like they don't have metal detectors in MI. Ours do, as does the governor's executive building at the capitol. Phx city hall is installing them. Pro football/baseball/hockey/basketball already have them. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2016/08/04/security-to-be-reviewed-at-michigan-court-after-attack-try.html |

Hopefully he gets brutalized in the slowest and most painful way possible and his death is a long miserable process.
There is nothing on earth lower than those who do such things to children. |

I bet the prosecutor pushes hard for max sentence on all charges w/o parole and the judge will run with it.
I wonder if they'd have done the same if the psycho came at a convenience store clerk or would they be open to a plea and apology. |

I love grandma at 1:10 getting in close to help then thinking better of it. LOL Good thing he went for the guy instead of the girl. He'd have had the thing buried in her before she reacted. Good reflexes by the guy. |

Criminal defendants who are in jail awaiting trial or sentencing do not enter the courthouse through the front door where the metal detectors are. They go from a notionally secure location (jail) via notionally secure transport directly to the courtroom or to a holding cell. If you can get a weapon in jail, you can probably get it into the courtroom.

Came so close to smashing his head on that table. What a missed opportunity....

Not sure why anyone would expect defendants not to do things like this, whether they're guilty or not.

Note how little time it took that dumpy fuck to close distance and get a stab in.
That, ladies and gents, is why people with edged weapons a few yards away are a good shoot. |

Well, at least they can add the assault with a deadly weapon or attempted murder charge or whatever to his sentence. That should keep him in prison for a lot longer. It's not as good as putting one behind his ear, but I'll take what I can get for the time being. |

Who would be the genius who set up this court room? Violent predator not shackled. Cops half way across the room instead of right behind the POS. Not searched before entering courtroom. Damn
Can the prosecutor dictate he put in gen pop? |

Damn Can the prosecutor dictate he put in gen pop? View Quote Yep-- that is a very poor set up. The court deputies are positioned incorrectly. Just before the attack, the deputy to the left is actually looking down and not at the defendant. Condition white. With a guy of that size, they should have added a few more deputies, too. Once everything went south, more deputies should have come into that courtroom. It looked as if they were still having trouble controlling him even when he was on the ground. |
