Well, there was them olden days before common law came into it's own. Then their was until just a few years ago, where criminal courts pretty much had that whole monopoly on violence thing, and the civil courts handled the not so criminal thing.
What this Ahole did was certainly illegal, and any civil issues are between WOW and coldair. Everyone in that truck and the owners of that truck did a shitty thing, and his business suffered probably irreversible harm because of it. Price to be paid for those actions.
I guess I'm just saddened. Yes, this happened to a Republican supporter; a member here on Arfcom for goodness sake! But in today's world the the courts and coldair have no say when enough is enough. This act was illegal, but once the genie is out of the bottle it goes from a bad recommendation, and maybe the local paper to something else. People are either eventually going to let it go, or hound the perpetrator well beyond what anyone would have thought sane 10 years ago. The power of when enough is enough is no longer decided by the state or victim, but by social justice warriors. Those words may sting to some, but just because a member here was the one victimized or we happen to believe in this cause doesn't mean a rose by any other name isn't a rose.
I hate to sound like I'm sympathizing, because I'm really not. Just reflecting on the world we now live in where some people don't believe in second chances and that's just not the kind of person I am. The internet lives forever, and it's a brutal world. Thank God I did all my stupid shit before the internet.
As someone above me said, the internet is brutal.
Actually, it's just an evolution of what used to happen.
Used to be, if you stole another man's property, and pissed on his stuff to show dominance/disrespect, you got your ass beat or you got killed.
This was judged to be extreme and laws were passed prohibiting such things.
This is the modern day version of an ass beating culminating in the potential death of this business.
Personally, I prefer the old way. Much more direct, and manners were taught. Harshly, but they were still taught. One can legitimately argue that had these morons had their asses kicked earlier in life for doing stupid shit, this wouldnt have happened at all.
I think coldair has handled this perfectly, probably better than I would have handled it.
Man's a damn genius...

You make very valid points and I agree completely. More reasons I prefer the old way.
