When did Charlotte become Detroit and does Charlotte have enough cops to handle this?

Wiki says 1,800 officers in Charlotte, so they could probably call in reinforcements if they wanted. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

It looks like the police are very out numbered. Is the state police no available? CMPD could shut this down in an instant. It's probably better that they don't. I wonder, do any of the people rioting (in a very limited area) even know what they are rioting about? Thankfully some of NE Charlotte can still hear nothing but crickets. |

CMPD is a pretty big and highly visible force, moreso than a lot of cities Charlotte's size. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I love how they criticize the black cops for being on the wrong side when they don't have the first clue as to what happened. I have never seen such ignorance on display in this country as I have with the police incidents over the last few years. Mobs really are scary, just a human pile of ignorance and raw emotion, they embrace ignorance as though it was a virtue, and so do the politicians that pander to them. It is absolutely disgusting. I see no redeeming qualities in these inner city communities. They offer nothing but dysfunction and self destruction on the misguided altar of race identity.

One guy telling them to put their batons away. "There is no need for that".

Wait. Wut? Everyone says he wasn't armed but police recovered his gun at the scene? He wasn't armed but they still felt the need to taze him before shooting him? Something doesn't add up. Why do I get the suspicion he was actually armed? View Quote Can you please stop. We don't need no facts, we protesting! |

Charlotte has a fairly heavy black community, spread around the entire metro. Its about 35% black, 45% white. There are a number of trouble areas where the protests could turn riot. Add in gas stations closing in the area due to fuel shortages... The heat is turning up.
(All we need now is a grocery shortage or ebt issue, and it's Mad Max. ) |

What was the dorky whiteboy holding the "stop killing us" sign doing there?
