..model numbering...Where is their logic?
Ok I get the "G" but there is no apparent rhyme or reason the the model numbering.
For this reason I will Never buy one of their Plastic hand grenades!

The model 40 really should have been in 22lr since the 22 is in 40s&w.

It does come in a close 2nd.   Almost as good as the CZ75 PCR.  Almost.

Best hadngun ever made by a wide margin. Any serious handgun class, anywhere in the world, 1/2 to 1/3 of the shooters will be using Glocks, and it will usually be the best, most experienced shooters in the group.

The 17 was Glock's 17th patent, so on and so forth.

First patent for the GLOCK pistol was Gaston's 17th, hence G17. They just used numbers after that for each new model, except for the G40 and G41, which I think were released after the G42 and G43.

This.
Glock 17 is the first model, each subsequent model just adds 1 to the number. (Might be the order in which they were designed rather than released, though)

Want! I had a Springfield Armory P9S compact years ago that was very similar to that. Sold it in a fit of stupidity as I mostly carried my P226 or HK P7 PSP. Would love another CZ75 style compact.

You realize that the model number corresponds to the order in which it was introduced.... Right?

Yeah. I think so too... The 41 was released a year or more before the 43.

How am I supposed to know what caliber, barrel length, & grip length a 1911 has based on the model number?!?

Think of the thing that you do best, whether that's masturbation, running the fry machine, basketweaving...whatever. Think of that thing you do best.

Then remember that Gaston is better at selling guns than you will ever be at whatever your thing is.

I can't do that 'presenting my ass for surprise buttsecks' isosceles stance.

I understand they went away from Weaver for body armor considerations, but since I don't wear armor and Weaver is more comfortable, your opinion is invalid to me.
