..model numbering...Where is their logic?
Ok I get the "G" but there is no apparent rhyme or reason the the model numbering. For this reason I will Never buy one of their Plastic hand grenades! 1911/45ACP/Beans! |

The model 40 really should have been in 22lr since the 22 is in 40s&w.

Any serious handgun class, anywhere in the world, 1/2 to 1/3 of the shooters will be using Glocks, and it will usually be the best, most experienced shooters in the group. FerFAL |

First patent for the GLOCK pistol was Gaston's 17th, hence G17. They just used numbers after that for each new model, except for the G40 and G41, which I think were released after the G42 and G43.

I like my Glocks like I like my women; 19 and in my pants.

G Models should have a caliber specific prefix or suffix at minimum.

I had a Springfield Armory P9S compact years ago that was very similar to that. Sold it in a fit of stupidity as I mostly carried my P226 or HK P7 PSP. Would love another CZ75 style compact. |

It actually makes a lot of sense, you just can't figure it out. |

So by your reasoning you'd never buy a Smith and Wesson revolver or Gen 1, 2, or 3 semi auto?

The 41 was released a year or more before the 43. |

If you think Glock is bad, what about 1911s?
How am I supposed to know what caliber, barrel length, & grip length a 1911 has based on the model number?!? |

Pretty simple
Glock 17 = Gaston Glock's 17th patent Every model after that was named in order of development (might not have been released in that order) |

[#44]
Look a Glock hater thread..how original Glock is the best handgun on the market by a large insurmountable margin.
