Due to lack of visitors the Normandy tank museum is closing it's doors and selling off all of its vehicles and exhibits. Google images shows some amazing history there.

The 1944 M4 Sherman tank

Price estimated by Artcurial: 250,000-400,000 euros ($280,000 to $450,000)

View Quote

The M4 was the most produced American tank during World War II, with 50,000 units made. It was nicknamed Sherman by the British–it was distributed through a U.S. war supply program to Allies including the British Commonwealth–after William Tecumseh Sherman, an American general in the Union Army during the U.S. civil war. This model was restored by the museum and is in running condition.

Doing a Market Garden tour, I visited a Dutch museum and had a great conversation with the owner who was a resistance fighter that showed us the 1911 given to him by a US Army officer as proof he was working for the allies.  He had all sorts of tanks & equipment, including a couple of Dakota's and was looking at selling the place since he was in his 80's.  Sad to see such history lost.

I wish Littlefield was still alive. He'd have probably acquired preserved at least some of it.

We simply must rid the world of history so that people can be fed the proper propaganda without interference from the truth. It is one way to insure a world full of brain dead mouth breathers. Incrementalism works.

Yep much easier to re-write and re educate about history when all of the relics and artifacts from those periods no longer exist.

It is a private run museum in the middle of Normandy France. That shit ain't cheap to run. The majority of "awesome" museums are publicly funded. Simple fact of life.

That really sucks.

The younger French dont really appreciate whats happened on those beaches.   When I was there a little over a year ago, my wifes French college age cousin said to us after me mentioning I wanted to go to Normandy, "its not good beach weather this time of year" not even realizing what the real attraction of going there was... a total disconnect

The majority of Americans don't care for what happened in Lexington and Concord.
