A rock nailed my windshield yesterday on the way home from work creating a penny sized "bullseye" with radiating cracks.
What is the most effective repair kit for this type of damage?

I tried one of the kits.  They are a joke, waste of money.

It needs higher pressure then they can make to get all the fluid in the cracks

The fluid mine had was almost like super glue

Call your insurance. Many policies cover this type of repair at no additional cost, it is better to have specialists do these. However, based on what your describing it may be beyond repairable and need replacement. Again, many insurance policies cover glass only claims at a reduced, or even no deductible, even for replacement.

Safelite says usually anything that a dollar bill will cover can be repaired by them.

I've had good luck with the syringe/pedastal repair kit by Permatex.  You have to understand how it works though to do a good job with it though.   I let it sit under vaccuum until ever last bubble is gone (they don't tell you that in the instructions, and the 10 minutes they suggest isn't long enough sometimes) then let it sit under pressure twice as long.  Dig the pit out real good with a tack before hand too - this helps the sealer get in there good.

Wife has had 2 done by Safelite. Couldn't tell there was a crack there an hour or two after they left.
