In Philly, they used to ride 4 wheelers through the streets.
People would kick trashcans out in front of them, and cops eventually cracked down. |

Where I lived in the Bronx young Hispanic kids would ride up and down making problems, the old Italians had some kind of grease/oil concoction they would lay on the road

I live outside York Pa, but grew up here. I work in Towson, and this is a huge problem in Baltimore. They run red lights, sidewalks, etc. If they run into you in traffic and you get out, 20 of them beat you down. All black, most bikes stolen. Any reprisal is a hate crime. MD is a no carry state. I welcome the day when a PA citizen guns down these hooligans.

Taken from my driveway.
Not that big of a problem, but as you see it has room to grow. All kidding aside, I have a small group of these guy in my AO, 4 to 8. They will bast up the street passing cars and riding on the sidewalk. I was also overtaken by a group of 15 to 20 guys doing the same thing as I was driving. I ride MX and these douche bags make the cops give me a 2nd look when my bike is in my truck. However I don't fit a certain demographic and have gotten a pass every time but once when I was stopped and asked about the bike and length of ownership. |

If the cops do nothing, it continues.
I hate the mayor of NYC, but in the last year, they went on a full on search for dirt bikes, illegal or not. By going into places like storage units (the ones that allow bikes in their rental agreements) and checking every locker for bikes. And seizing them. Then crushing them with a bulldozer. Eliminated 90% of the activity. After the bikers almost killed the Chinese family, they found out something very interesting about the bikers. Many were cops.?? |

We used to roar up the back roads on TT flat track built Banshees and 250r's, chip and seal, gravel then transition into the woods. We live in the boonies and a cop would not even bother us out there, used to pull each other on skateboards, roller blades, bmx to get more speed for ramps.
Now the officers have the right to use deadly force if they are stopped on the road and you try to go around them from what I heard from other riders. That caused a lot of nice lowered street pounding banshees to be sold off by my friends. |
