Glock does 9 mm very well.
Their other calibers tend to be hit and miss. |

I describe them as "The Honda Accord of Guns". The Accord isn't flashy, you're not going to take it to any car shows or to the drag strip.... But if you need a car that's going to do 99% of the shit you need a car to do day-in and day-out and do so reliably with basic maintinence you can go down and buy and Accord, stick the key in and be fairly assured it will do it. View Quote Yup....boringly reliable. That is what I require in a tool.... |

1911's are old obsolete relics like you might find in an old abandoned barn. I know, I have one. Glocks are modern fighting machines.

In my experience Glock's chambered in .45 ACP, .40 S&W, and 10mm Auto are all good to go. I don't think there is any serious question that the Glock 20 is the best 10mm pistol around. The Delta Elite was cool, but it doesn't handle full house loads. |

I shoot my glocks better than anything. Doesn't change the fact that a better trigger would be more enjoyable and even easier. |

Sounds like someone is emotionally invested in their firearms... Not at all. If I had a 1911 that didn't run flawlessly, I'd have it repaired or get rid of it. I own more than just 1911s. What is so fucking laughable are the Glock nut huggers who insist that there should be no other firearms made, and anything else is a relic, a piece of shit, or a hundred other idiotic descriptions. Guess what, different strokes for different folks. I despise the way a Glock feels, and shoots; it doesn't work for me. It doesn't mean that I don't recognize that it's a quality firearm. But it's not the only one, and it's not perfection, either. |

Not really. That truck is more like a P226. The Glock would be an old Ford Ranger. |

Between the sigs, walthers, S&Ws and even HKs that I've shot or owned my Glock 26 has been the most reliable and most accurate (for me). I hated Glocks before my G26, now I want more.

I am leaving my normal bowling pin gun (Glock 21) at home tonight and shooting the match with my Sig 1911 and S&W 681.
However I'll be carrying a G19 for self defense.... |

In all seriousness, I grabbed a quick glance at a G19 the other day that had some sort of bronze like finish on it. Definitely not Cerakote, looked almost like IonBond. Anyone know what it is? Looked pretty nice.

I respect the 9mm line of Glocks but calling them perfect or the best is like saying the Toyota Corolla is the perfect car.
I personally don't like the feeling of my G19 in my hand, the trigger is uncomfortable, and it is very blocky to carry which is why I have chosen another brand. There is a lot to be said about the simplicity of a Glock but the reality is, compared to others on the market, they are overpriced. When S&W can sell a SW9VE for $250 and make money on it, you have to ask yourself what makes a Glock $300 better? |
