I liked (and still do) Rand Paul.
But true liberty minded ideas are not popular on either side. So therefore, we have Trump and Hillary to choose from. Pretty much sums up the state of both political parties. |

We couldve won this election but decided to throw it away for a wall. Young and minority voters don't vote--at least the vast majority of them. They may express a preference for some dipshit like Gary Johnson, but they won't go vote. You have to get out of bed for that. And go outside. And stuff. |

My Irish setter puppy could bead FHRC right now.... Then why the fuck did Trump get nominated? Because a bunch of people were ready and willing to let themselves be lied to. And the remaining 65% of us split our votes between 15 other better candidates. |

I'd rather have Rand Paul running the country than Trump, but OP's premise is fucking delusional.

View Quote GreenBastard, while I admit that Rand's campaign sucked (stupid to be involved with NAGR and FDB), I didn't expect you to stoop that low. I would hope that you're more ideologically aligned with Rand than the Clown. Maybe I take exception since I'm under 5'-8." Rand won't yell at you to get off his lawn, so he could never succeed as the Republican nominee for president. |

If Rand was the guy to get the job done he would be out front doing just that now wouldn't he? I like Rand but he isn't the man for the job. |
|
If Rand had the nod, I would be in full force volunteering, donating, and organizing my senate district like I had done for the last four years as the district's exec vice chair. When he dropped out the race, the GOP lost the voice that had inspired me. Now, I'm #feelthejohnson and forever Paulbot

The American people are two stupid to vote for the right guy to get the job done. We had almost 20 choices and we are left with Trump and Hillary. Are you freaking kidding me, all those choices and thats what we have left to choose from. Your logic is border line retarded! Edit: I am of course going to vote the shinnies turd in the bunch aka Trump. |

He was not, unfortunately, a very good candidate. View Quote He tried to mainstream the liberty movement in a cycle when people finally decided to give the establishment the finger, he was running a campaign to win the general and somehow managed to underwhelm everyone trying to build a big enough tent to do that. He made mistakes sure, but the ancap types wouldn't play along with actually trying to be relevant in the GOP, Cruz spoiled his run trying to win the primary by losing the general, and then there was Trump providing a much more aggressive FU to the establishment. I knew we were screwed as soon as Ted announced, I really didn't think he would because his whole operation was so poorly thought out and he had such a reputation for brilliance in conservative circles. So we finally get a change nominee and it's the Donald. FTS. |

Edit: I am of course going to vote the shinnies turd in the bunch aka Trump. The game is that the candidates have to command the peoples attention and admiration. Rand, like so many other preferable candidates before him flat out failed to garner that attention from the American public. That is why he is insignificant in this race instead of leading this race. You have got to get the public behind you and it's "borderline retarded" that people believe otherwise. |

Rand was and still is my choice. Ted is dead to me.
Being TX, it matters not who I vote for in November. |

I was sad when Ted announced he was running. And Rubio. We needed one of the three (four, Mike Lee) good senators, not multitudes of them. |
