Refs giving this game to Tampa.
3/6 on pp. Missing all sorts of calls against tampa. Im not a huge wings fan, my team is nashville but this is so fucky it is funny. |

I think math was a bigger problem for Detroit than officiating. How many times were they going to put too many players on the ice? |
|
Caps and Pens are very closely matched. Great teams.
And yet the Caps are still not QUITE there. |

Lightning Refs wins, 6 to 4 over Detroit!! Fixed for ya buddy. I think math was a bigger problem for Detroit than officiating. How many times were they going to put too many players on the ice? That second one was the wrong call. Nyquist was leaving the ice, did not have the puck, hadn't touched the puck, got absolutely steamrolled on his way off the ice, and there was no interference call. Then he gets called for too many men. Makes no sense. And bitchboy Stamkos grabbing Ericson in the midst of a fight should have been a third man in penalty. Tampa looks great, but this game was pathetic from the refs. |

I grew up playing, still play now. My son plays AA travel (1st year bantam, '03)..the age old saying of "There are two groups of people you have to out play, the opposing team and the ref's. Have to beat both if you want to win." is as true today as ever. |

I DO NOT like the 3 on 3 overtime. there is TOO much room on the ice. One team just has the puck until play stops. GO PENS!! |

Great 2nd period from the Wild, and the Gordie Howe Hat Trick (all in the 2nd) from Chris Stewart. 4-3 over WPG

GO PENGUINS!!!
On another note...I learned some cool history Today: A co-worker at the Fire Department I work at, here in Florida posted a bunch of pictures on Facebook of him and his family at the St. Louis Blues anniversary celebration for the beginning of this season. The photos were all in VIP situations, with players and team executives... and there was a big banner that said something about thanking his family for bringing the Blues to St. Louis. Naturally...I messaged him and asked "WTF IS THIS???". Turns out, his grandfather and great grandfather were awarded the franchise in the 1967 expansion draft...They were the original owners of the team...They brought the team to St. Louis, and named them the Blues!! I'm a Pens fan, not a Blues fan...But I played ice hockey for over a decade, and have been a fan all of my life. It is the ONLY sport I give a damn about. This guy has been a coworker for over 10 years, and I never knew about this!!! |

Canes go up 3-0 on Vancouver, lose 4-3 in OT.
2nd 3 goal lead that turns to a OT loss. |

Mike Green, Red Wings, got a hat trick tonight. Pretty action filled game last night. There was also a Jonathan Ericsson Hat Trick: a puck, a stick, and fists to the face. LOL he took a beating last night. I got to watch the 3rd period, and they looked great. hopefully they can keep that energy. |
