My last job I was a "Process Optimization Specialist"
I could not be called a "Process Engineer" because then I would have to join the engineers union, and management wanted me to not join up with a union. |

I know someone who works at an insurance company. Her title, as listed on her linked in is: Personal Lines National Product Mangement Underwriting Manager
Not sure if "mangement" is a some real word or a typo. Misspelling your job title on a job networking website probably doesn't give the best first impression. |

Performance Excellence Director.
It was at a medium sized engineering company I contracted through to the government. The owner was a minority veteran, not particularly talented as an engineer or businessman, but he knew how to milk the government's institutionalized discrimination system to get rich. When I saw that job title I just sat back and tried to imagine what it would be like to start a company, to dream of maybe succeeding, and then one day see it grown so out of control, so detached from reality, that it would employ a Performance Excellence Director. Then I realize the owner DGAF; he's busy milking the government as a useless middleman.  |
