Edit: Had me fooled at first. I thought it was the actual civilian 249. I still watch the vid though |

Living with 2 girls has it's pluses and minuses. And yes leg humpers.... video will likely include THEM shooting it. (both own guns) Taking them to the range next Sunday. I'll likely try to hit the range on my own on Wed to get it running reliably so Sunday goes smoothly. |

neat.
is that a direct impingment gas system? does it have a quick change barrel system (or are those studs for the custom handguard retention) ???? i take it the mono-block gas regulator under the barrel is faux, as is the gas tube, it does give it a very cool aesthetic and provides for the bypod ring. very cool. tagged for video |

NO belt feed no care. I dont get it either. SAW means Squad AUTOMATIC Weapon Right, hence the nickname "BumpSAW." It's not a machine gun, but it's as close as you are getting without going NFA. |

Bumpsaw is legit as fuck, I say this having gotten to shoot a lot of belt feds professionally. The only fundamental difference is the bump stocks have a short learning curve but it's a drop in the bucket when it comes to the full topic of fundamentals of machine gunnery. |

I've never looked into it...does anyone make a quick change barrel system for ARs?
That's about the only thing I can think of that would really step up bump saws in the "close enough to a mg" list. |
|
Is there a reason for the handguard being so huge, or is it just for the M249 aesthetic?

View Quote Yes. Although many of the variants I am aware of are meant for caliber conversions although I don't see why you can't just buy a spare barrel in the caliber you wish to quick change. Ares has quick change barrels on their non belt fed version the Ares-15 MCR which is more affordable than their belt fed option. Edit: just re-watched the Dolos Quick Change video Review MAC did and while that system will let you use your existing barrel, it may require "alterations" to allow for a quick change with a smoking hot barrel. |

OP; that is the ugliest thing I have ever seen in my life. You should dispose of that immediately. PM inbound with possible disposal options.
Bad jokes aside, great work! Love the creativity you used to produce something that not only looks great but ought to function beautifully. I bet that will draw some attention when you shoot it in public. |
|
It arrived in that priority mail package? Damn, your gunsmith has some balls!!! |
|
That is officially cool as fuck in my book, OP.
Very, very nice. |
