This was a fun little hike not the best quality pics since all I had was my cell phone but it was interesting never been here before. I like the fact that you have to hike through the woods a few miles to get here not just drive up. here's a little info on the area:

The Aldridge Sawmill was first constructed by Hal Aldridge in 1905. The original mill was of wooden construction, and the equipment both for the construction and for the actual mill operations was brought into the site by ox cart. In 1906, the Burr's Ferry, Browndel & Chester Railway built a spur into the mill, and a town grew up around the mill. By 1911, there were 76 buildings at Aldridge including houses, a warehouse, hotel, company store, and company offices. Later that year, the wooden mill structure burned down and a new mill was constructed using hand- poured concrete. The new mill with its updated equipment produced 125,000 board feet of lumber per day. In 1918, the mill was sold to Kirby Lumber Company who continued to run it on a limited basis until 1923 when it was finally closed. The last of the township itself was abandoned in 1927, and the site was subsequently acquired by the U.S. Forest Service in 1935.
While the town itself is gone, the abandoned shells of the four concrete mill buildings, various concrete foundations, the mill pond, and portions of the old railroad tram still remain.

This was not part of the sawmill but my favorite pic of the forest.

I love old ruins like that.

There's an old limestone quarry around here where they used the old concrete buildings as backdrops for a sporting clays range.  Clays will be thrown through various open windows and doorways in the old buildings.

It looks like it's 100% poured concrete rebar reinforced structure.

That thing was erected back when men took pride in their work and made stuff to last.

Thanks for sharing.

Should've spray painted a big dick and balls on it.

That's definitely what was missing.

Kewl pix, OP.  Got a similar structure here.  It's by an old rail road, so I'm guessing it's an old station or some such:
