I don't check it, I have a full size spare. I do keep a 12 volt compressor in the truck though.

I check mine every three months or so.
It's not a good feeling when you have a flat and find out your spare is also flat.
This happened twice to me with my previous truck.

That's interesting.  On my Honda they specifically say not to use a spare that has pressure monitoring in it.

Same for my Land Cruiser.  Toyota used to have TPMS in the spares on some models, but they discontinued it a few years ago.

I check it twice a year when I switch from summer to winter tires.

I carry a portable compressor in the back, so if it needs air I have the means.

Never - car does not have one.  Driving since 1972 and had one flat away from home.  It was raining and I was in a suit/tie, so I just limped it home on the flat. So no spare = not a BFD.

Here is my spare in the 2013 Mustang GT with Brembo brakes (leak sealer/compressor):

Like others I have a 12VDC compressor in my other vehicles.

It was checked about 15 years ago, when I had a flat in Colorado and had to change it.    Ran the spare for about 35 miles, got the flat fixed and put the spare back in its resting place.

Just recently I made a remote fill valve so I can easily check/add pressure without crawling underneath. Just kneel by the rear bumper to access.

I did this because I got sick of the spare taking up my box. I had it in the box because otherwise I would never check the pressure.

Details? ??? sounds like a good idea for the tire under the back of my pickup.

That's interesting.  On my Honda they specifically say not to use a spare that has pressure monitoring in it.  If you get a take-off wheel/tire to use as a full-size spare you are supposed to have the sensor removed or it will screw up the system since it is looking for four signals and actually finds five.

I check the pressure at every oil change.  That usually works out to about every six months.  The temporary spares usually are down 5 - 10 PSI at that point.

Some cars are optioned with a full sized spare that has a sensor.  If you get a take off wheel with a Honda, it can mess with the tpms.  Hondas and some others automaticly program for the sensors while driving, and since it's not an option, a 5th sensor can jam it up.  Toyotas and others have a 4 or 5 sensor option when you program the sensors.

Search Amazon for "spare valve extender".  I just one-clicked the sonofabitch!  Thanks for the idea, popnfresh!  I had no idea such a thing existed.

Always, but I have a compressor in the truck for when I air down.

Also have a tire patch kit, so I've never actually changed a tire.

Never. I drive a Chevy so the spare tire release mechanism is totally rusted and frozen. The spare is probably not getting released without a cutting torch.

Same, I'm contemplating removing mine so I can store stuff in that area but my car is RWD and I'm not sure how that would affect the handling in the winter, but I don't think it will make much difference with my  blizzaks

I checked the donut today. It had 20 psi, labeled to be aired up to 60.

The right rear lost air and has a huge bubble so it was time to check the spare.

Also found an escapee can of Skyline Chili in the stowage compartment with the spare. I have a couple Ballparks and buns in the fridge so

You could ignore it.

I have TPMS in my 4Runner, but all my wheels/tires are mounted without them.
