Looks like 223 and 9mm is disappearing quickly. So how long until the supply is depleted?

It's stupid threads like these that make ammo disappear. Thank you OP.

I've been buying off and on the past couple of years but don't have all I want and I won't have money freed up for ammo till the end of Aug or Sept....You fucks better not buy it all up before than. |

I'm still seeing bulk in the shelves at the shops.
Maybe it's just you. |

I would not say that in regards to AIM threads. A good panic thread here can sell out some deals pretty damn fast. |

Never?
I went to my 'local' Cabela's on Saturday and they had 30,000 rounds of bulk federal 223/5.56 scattered everywhere. I even found and bought 2 cans of Varget and they had shelves full of .22LR, in fact I was completely surprised to see 15 boxes of 300 rd CCI AR Tactical on the shelf. I think we'll be okay. |

Depends on the election.
If Trump is leading, ammo will be easy to get. If clinton is leading as we get closer, ammo Wil be harder to find, more $. |

With everything going on in the past month, from Orlando on, we should be in the middle of a "shelves are bare" panic right now. We actually are in a panic, but the fact that I can still buy whatever I want for just a slight increase in Spring 2016 prices is a sign of the industry's increased capacity. Guns and ammo is the crowded trade of 2016. Invest with the hope of turning a huge profit at your peril.

I bought it cheap and stacked it deeply.

Shelves are stocked here.
.22 bricks, various types in stock on shelves at local retailers not just gun shops with jacked up prices. Not sure where OP is; here I can find 95% of the reloading components anytime I look. |

I was surprised how little 223 and 45 they had this morning vs. out of stock items. I have said for two years there is a stealth panic going on, and very soon it will no longer be a secret. |

Mags on the other hand, yes I think there are so many manufactures now that there will always be a surplus. |

This. Who would even read this thread that isn't either immune to panic, or hasn't already bought as much ammo as their budget allows? |

I was gone this weekend. Why are we panicking? Because we enjoy shooting and it's a bit unsettling to see ammo supplies being depleted. But the ammo supplies are being deleted because we're buying it all. |

All the usual stores have full shelves of everything other than .22LR. Of course, it's been an hour since I was at Walmart. I suppose I might have missed the thundering horde of neckbeards. |

My supply still looks good and Target Sports along with Lucky Gunner keep sending me emails on great deals so where is this shortage you speak of.

I buy ammo exclusively online. I live in a medium sized town without the big box sports stores. Local dealers are cost prohibitive on their ammo. I have plenty if I stopped shooting and hoard what I already have. |

I only buy online if I need bulk, but like you, I have plenty on hand already. |

Went to a gunshow this weekend. This spring and summer have been pretty quiet at the shows. This weekend there seemed to be a different feeling in the air. Saturday saw a pretty good crowd and most of the "good" deals were gobbled up by 2-3PM. I did my regular Sunday morning cruise and the only things left were the ass-rape priced items that most gunshows are known for. They did have a "wholesale" ammo supplier there that brought in a semi load full of ammo. They had wolf gold for $285.95 per 1k and some steel cased 9mm for $169.95. So there was some decent ammo pricing. Come Sunday, that wall of ammo had been picked pretty clean. ALOT of ammo was sold over the 2 days of the show. I think that round about late September/early October, there is gonna be a rude awakening for the casual shooters that buy a box here or there. People are starting to open there wallets just a little bit, the flood gates will open up on ammo buying should it look as though Hillary has even a small chance of winning going into the fall.

I was just at Camp Perry this past weekend...
Besides 30-06, everything else seemed in good supply and stock. Including reloading components at extremely low prices. Also 8lb jugs of everything you could imagine. |
