I knew all I needed to know about Cruz during the primary.  Which is a whiny slimy politician.  Cruz sold out his principles when the anti-establishment candidate started using the establishment to fund him, raise funds for him, endorse him, and campaign with him.

Plenty of us said FUCK TED CRUZ back then and it still holds true today.  The pathetic politician only got as far as he did because Trump took out the real competition.  Cruz couldn't even beat a fake Republican in Republican race, yet you think he is some political genius.  Well the voters have spoken and the result is Cruz failed.

http://theresurgent.com/paul-manafort-and-cheeto-jesus-plotted-to-steal-the-spotlight-from-mike-pence/

No one will be talking about Mike Pence’s speech tomorrow.  They won’t be talking about it because Paul Manafort and Cheeto Jesus do not want Pence’s speech to be the focus.  That is the only possible conclusion to why they whipped delegates to boo Ted Cruz.

Multiple press outlets are confirming what I first reported from Cruz sources.  Manafort did threaten Cruz that if he did not change his speech the crowd would boo.  Cruz refused and Manafort organized delegates to boo Cruz.  They booed before Cruz had even finished a sentence that might have included a endorsement.

And? Ted Cruz just committed political suicide. Sounds like Manafort handed him the rope. Zero fucks given.

Blah blah, I'm from Texas (which is the only place they put up with my bullshit).

I'm still butthurt that my screechy, whiny, backstabbing wasn't enough to win enough delegates or people's hearts and minds.

I believe in my conscience and my principles and things going the way I want them to, otherwise I'll take my ball and go home, because politics isn't about building coalitions and cooperation, but divisiveness and backstabbing.

Bill Clinton is my homeboy.

Honestly I wouldn't endorse any candidate who doesn't share my views of far right fundamentalist christian sharia law that Americans are fucking fed up hearing about when the Bill of Rights is at stake.

I follow the rules when it benefits me (Colorado), whine about them when people use them against me (the convention).

He has achieved an epic level of butthurt, his asshole is like a glowing crater from a mile wide asteroid.

And, right now , he's busting wide open the narrative that he somehow endorsed Trump in his speech. He was just on tv doubling down against Trump. He's a sleazy little bitch that wants to be another Ronald Reagan, but when given the exact same chance that Reagan had, he chose himself over the nation. Reagan's character was such that he put the nation first, which meant unifying to party, but Cruz' character , his inner core told him to do the exact opposite.

Cruz is done.

ETA< now he's backing up a little bit. Still, he's already dodged the support Trump question and hemmed and hawed around it in the manner of slick willy.

They didn't have a chance to orchestrate a booing, since Reagan was called to give a speech at the spur of the moment during the convention and they didn't know ahead of time what he was going to say.  Also, Ford wasn't a total piece of shit, like Trump and his lackeys.

What Cruz said was divisive, pitting the two factions of the party against each other, and not unifying. Unifying would have been an endorsement.

Reagan gave his endorsement in a unifying statement meant to rally the people behind Ford for a victory in 1976.  This is the last line of the speech, which is totally different from " well, vote for whoever ."

"We must go forth from here united, determined that what a great general said a few years ago is true: There is no substitute for victory, Mr. President."

You know, I was a cruz fan early on. It was always him or trump for me. But the further we went the less I liked cruz.

Side note. Bush II, Mcshitstain, Wrongny.....REAL American conservatives have been consistently asked to support face republicans for years. And I know I have, grudgingly, and voted for the party establishment (rino) pick. THIS time, the establishment did not get their way, and for the first time, did NOT get their pick. And they refuse to do what they have forced us to do for years? Screw them. If thats our party, then it deserves to fail.

Last night he committed suicide. He has drank from the cup of Beck, and now believes he is Christ-like and that only HE can save America. Bottom line, I am not sure ANYONE can save us now. But herein lies the huge catastrophic mistake he made last night:

He should have united the party. He alone could have. Trump would have embraced him, possibly included him somehow, maybe nominated for the Supremes.....All that is gone. If trump wins, then SCREW cruz. Screw all of the GOP who refused to back the nom. Cruz is so damned narcissistic that he decided last night to fuck the GOP and our country out of spite for trump. He THINKS he gains.....But if hitlery wins in a few months because the GOP is not united, its cruzes fault. No one elses. Trump won. Period. Be a man and deal with it. Had Cruz done right by America and the GOP and tried to unite the party last night, his sins and mistakes this campaign would have been forgiven by me and many. Instead, he made it a chance to basically ask people to 'vote their conscience' (him) in November. His way of asking people to still vote for him without asking. I am enraged at him.

Hitlery will finish off the job King Barack started. Again, I am not sure it is recoverable now. But if trump loses, it for sure isn't.

All of you voting the Hitler ticket out of spite for trump are no longer Americans. Gop or not. You have two choices: America, the Constitution, or Hitler and fascism/socialism, wealth redistribution, losing the supreme court (our last bastion of hope), ignoring the constitution. If push really does come to shove, and the next civil war kicks off in a couple years as a result of a hitler election, no cruz supporter will ever be welcome with me.

Cruz was my 1st pick, and I still like him and hope he tries again next election cycle. He is what this country needs. Saying that I was disappointed in him that he wasn't the bigger man and endorse the Trump. It's what this country needs to beat Hillary. Now that the primaries are over we need to heal these rifts among ourselves. Trump may not have been my 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd pick, but he is the nominee now and I WILL support him because #NEVERHILLARY!

From here.

So, as the dust settles from the chaos that broke out on the convention floor over Senator Ted Cruz’s (R-TX) speech failing to openly endorse Donald Trump, here are some facts upon which to reflect:

1. Donald Trump knew Cruz’s speech text in advance.
2. Cruz told Trump two days in advance that he would not endorse him.
3. The speech itself congratulated Trump on winning the nomination, ripped Hillary Clinton, extolled freedom, and then told Americans to vote their conscience.
4. When Cruz gave the pre-approved speech clearly ripping Hillary and telling Americans to vote based on principle, Trump minions reportedly began whipping the crowd into boos. Paul Manafort reportedly "grinned and chuckled when asked by Mark Halperin if Trump aides encouraged boos of Cruz from the floor.”
5. Trump obviously knew what was coming, too, and entered the arena as Cruz concluded his speech, before Cruz was booed off the stage.

Trump has now tweeted out a slap at Cruz: "Ted Cruz booed off the stage, didn’t honor the pledge! I saw his speech two hours early but let him speak anyway. No big deal!” Sean Spicer of the pathetic Republican National Convention said that he was "hoping for better,” even though the text was pre-screened. Donald Trump Jr. appeared with Sean Hannity to exclaim, "The best unity I saw was everyone booing [Cruz] off the stage.”

So, to summarize, Trump knew what was coming, apparently planned the boos, and planned to take advantage of the situation in order to vindictively rip open a Republican rift that hurts his own campaign, and cast Cruz as a traitor.

Then he lied about it.

And he did it all because he despises Ted Cruz, because he’s a petty man, and because he’s a stupid boor.

Here’s the amazing truth: had Trump merely instructed his fans to keep clapping throughout Cruz’s speech, it would have looked like the "suggested” endorsement that Team Trump had touted all day long. But Team Trump decided it was more important to throw Cruz out of the popular clique than to take the partial win. Cruz had to be humiliated for his failure to Kneel Before Orange Zod.

It backfired.

Trump and his team end up looking like the bullies they are. They end up looking like the vindictive dolts they are. And Cruz ends up looking like a man willing to stand on principle rather than pay obeisance to an insecure fool who prizes his own narcissism above even the possibility of victory over Hillary Clinton.

Oh, give it a rest. Cruz is a prick, and he proved it last night.

Cruz knew Trump wouldn't bounce him on such short notice, and he capitalized on it to grandstand. Even if Trump did know about the speech's content (all of 2 hours in advance!), Cruz got what he deserved.

Cruz is political toast.

ive talked to at least 4 people who were pretty staunch cruz supporters and they all say they lost respect for him after last night.

both cnn and fox had independents on and talked to them to see what they thought about cruz after the speech. nobody was impressed.

it might not help trump but in a day people will either forget that cruz had this bitch fit or remember him negatively for it. when you get into the big world outside of texas, you find that people just don't like cruz, and this didn't help. when you speak in a condescending way, look weird, and betray your own word, it turns people off. who would have figured.

by the way, trump didn't win a "minority," kangaroo disciples. he won a plurality, against a SHITLOAD of candidates.
