Dragon Breath, Dragon Claw, and Dragon Pulse are apparently now all legacy moves for Dragonite.
Arguably Snorlax's best defensive charge move Body Slam is also a legacy move. On the plus side: easily the two worst charge moves for good pokemon (Twister for Gyarados and Bulldoze for Arcanine) are legacy now. |

Catch an evolved mon and you get extra candy and dust. First evolutions get +2 candy. Second evolutions get +7 candy. So, if you catch a Dragonite or Charizard or Feraligatr, it's 10 candies now.

Lapras got a massive nerf. That pisses me off. I just wasted a ton of stardust on powering mine up. Yeah, about 30% of my buddy distance logged has been with Lapras. Though my biggest stardust pit are my FIVE Con/Psy Exeggutor. Between those 5 and my 96% Poliwrath I've probably got close to 3/4 of a million in dust invested in defenders I'll never use again. Too bad there's not some kind of refund (even if just a partial) for dust spent on pokemon Niantic nerfs and pretty much renders useless. |

It means it's a move that can no longer be learned by a specific pokemon, but if your pokemon already has that move then it's grandfathered in. |

Anybody have a complete list of original pokemon that can evolve into something new now?
Slowpoke Eevee Porygon Chansey Onix Scyther Any I'm missing? |

Well now I'm not pissed about hatching 3 onyx. Now I just need to get the special item to evolve them.

Cool stuff I got so far. Mine you I know nothing about gen 2.

I was looking at some of the gen 2 'mons and there certainly are some weird ones. This is Shuckle: https://pokemongo.gamepress.gg/sites/default/files/styles/240w/public/2016-09/213.png?itok=Cc-Bp6fI It doesn't evolve from anything nor does it evolve into anything. Here are it's stats: Max CP: 300 Attack: 17 Defense: 396 (easily the highest in the game) Stamina: 40 View Quote This is my favorite out of all the ones I saw in gyms today |

Anyone who has battled in a gym within the past 24 hours will have undoubtedly noticed that all the "quick" quick moves are significantly slower. While most of the moves are more powerful this allows for fewer charge moves to be used on offense so those Snorlax and especially Blissey defenders will be even harder to take down.
On the plus side this has essentially killed the bubblestrat tactic. |

Where are people finding these special items to evolve them? They come from pokestops right?

I wonder how long before the SJW's are bitching about how the blackest pokemon in the game robs jewelry from women.

Outside of Tyranitar, what are considered the rare elites in Gen 2?

Outside of Tyranitar, what are considered the rare elites in Gen 2? View Quote I don't know about "rare" (really depends on your area), but Blissey is certainly elite. I was training against a 2,400 Blissey with my 3,300 DB/DC Dragonite and when I finally beat her the timer was down to about 20 seconds and my dragon had only about 1/4 of his health left. If a 2,400 Blissey was that hard I do not look forward to having to take down 3,000+ ones. |

It's good for general info, but I do think some of their ratings for pokemon and movesets are a little off. For example: anyone that's battled Snorlax enough knows that ZH/Earth is a better defensive moveset than Lick/HB, but they have Lick/HB being significantly better. Use it as a general guide, but put more stock in your own experience when determining which movesets are best. |

If you don't do the name trick and you don't do the 10 km buddy trick you won't get any of the gen 2 Eeveelutions. Whats the 10km buddy trick? Make an Eevee your buddy, walk 10 km, then evolve it. You'll get one of the gen 2 Eeveelutions and depending on whether it's day or night you'll get a Espeon or Umbreon. I haven't tried it personally, but a lot of people are claiming it's worked for them. |

i heard the name trick works once so only run it on a solid IV Evee
