Who's got the most reliable / accurate .22 DEDICATED Upper ?

I have need for one, and I don't want to buy an M&P22, and I don't want an adapter either.

I saw CMMG, Nordic, and CORE make one.  Who else?

Please enlighten me - thanks!

They need to be 5" or less barrel and mounted on your SBR lower.

ETA: this is to keep bulk ammo subsonic. Then you put the can on.

Why have a gun and a half, when you can have 2 guns.

Start with a dedicated upper, then get a lower.

Also, I recommend a Clint Beyer barrel, they are most choice.

Had  a CMMG a few years ago. Go with the stainless bolt and follow the "buzzing" chamber polishing method.

With Mini Mags it would miss feed maybe one of 100-150 rounds if it was clean. Always used Black Dog magazines.

I will buy another CMMG when the kids get older

I have a dedicated CMMG upper with the stainless steel, forward assist, and bolt hold open options (forward assist is not needed but I wanted everything to work).

In my opinion, it is quite accurate and fun to shoot.

I have it zeroed at 87 yards (really) and it's easy to hit the 4" .22 swingers at 100 yards using my Eotech (without the QD 3x magnifier).

I shoot it with my Kimber 1911 .22 conversion which is also a lot of fun.

I would just get a complete Walther or Umarex .22LR rifle like a Colt M4, M&P 15-22, H&K 416 D145RS, or an MP5 clone.

Everyone else will disagree and say, but but but you can swap uppers out and have a 5.56. These other people seem to forget that everyone in here owns a dozen ARs already, so instead of getting a dedicated .22 upper, you might as well spend the extra hundred bucks for the whole shebang.

I have a CMMG, very accurate and has been 100% reliable so far with many different types of ammo. Definitely recommend.

My Spikes carbine upper has been great and pretty reliable. I took it to an Appleseed in central Texas ,it was windy and pretty dusty. The upper ran 2 days straight with only a reapplication of lubricant.

Bought one several years ago. Maybe 100 rounds through it. I need to take it out again.
