Less Police interference. Big gatherings.
I'm guessing 21. |
if we are talking friday night - monday night...
probably 37-43 |
I am going 25/45 per day times 4 days plus or minus 25. Shootings stabbbings and violent assults will be 50 times higher than what is recorded. YMMV.
Shootings? Or people shot?
I think there where over 60 for Memorial day weekend, so I'll go with triple digits. 100 |
Friday through Monday midnight. Closest estimate of individuals shot gets a prize.
TBD by newspaper reporting a Tuesday. |
the weekend is considered 12pm Friday until 6am Tuesday
im going with 100 wounded, 20 killed |
Forecast looks good. Highs in the 70s, slight chance of rain. At least as many to match the high temp for he weekend.
Whatever the number ends up being, it'll definitely be an blast of a weekend in Chicago.

21 would be any given Tuesday! I guess 109 this year. I had to go there for work on the south side in the summer of 2014, and by 8pm Friday there had already been over 35 shot and the weekend had barly started. If I remember right it ended up being high 80 something. They take full advantage of the fireworks and light the town up. It's a good weekend to stay away from the shit hole, same as every other weekend!

My prediction, they will get dead and wounded total into the three figures.

i'm gonna say 63 shootings with 21 dead, a nice 3:1 ratio... View Quote The ratio has been about 6.5:1 for the year: http://heyjackass.com/ The meat men at stroger patch them up quick. Po-po are rocking 44% effectiveness this year. Although it may have something to do with the new style of 'let them play' policing. Still, Ill take CPD over a Brooklyn Sprinkler anyday. If you are putting money one it, this weekend will be interdasting. The fireworks are always on the 3rd in the city. That means all hands on deck for the 3rd which is Sunday. However, the shootings dont happen where the fireworksare . So the question is will the cops pulling OT for the 3rd, reduce the presence elsewhere. But then again you could argue that given the new BLM policing style, it really wont matter one way or another. Im going with 51shot, with 8 ded. |

FPNI and stole my thunder.
That number actually has a good chance of winning too |
If you're talking just shootings I'm going with about 70. Killed maybe 14.
21? There were 69 on Memorial Day weekend.
Maybe 21 fatalities. I predict it will be within 10 of 100. |

The over/under line is set at 18 / 28
Stay Woke people and you be careful out there.....PoPo on the sidelines. |

Thursday night through Monday night for those folks and I'll bet for most Chicago urban thug types as well. I see an awful lot of events this weekend are scheduled to start Friday, so that's a big increase in opportunities for gang members to encounter and shoot each other. Especially with rich and vibrant events like the African/Caribbean International Festival of Life and the Windy City Rib Fest being the highlight events. Given that, I'm going to say the weekend could see a tally of 64 shot, 50 injured, 14 dead, easy. |
I am kind of hoping for 100.
What the hell, go all the way. (75 will be a disappointment) |

Shootings? 47
Deaths? 17 There was just a shooting at Clark & Division, a nice area on the near north side, not far from the Gold Coast (VERY fancy neighborhood). Shootings in that area are so unusual that it was the lead on the WGN 9 o'clock news. |
