we're on the verge of another panic and every bit of what little gun money i have left to spend after the affordabe care act really ought to be going to evil baby killing black guns
but yet i haven't spent shit on ARs lately and have no plans to walnut's where it's at, motherfuckers! M1s, garands and carbines or GTFO cmp doesn't have dick to do with carbines anymore, they're about a year away from not having any garands to sell at all (shut down for now anyway) and the rumor mill has greek 30-06 drying up before the end of the year proceed accordingly, let the old growth walnut fill you hands, gentlemen this is now an M1 thread... |

Don't ever sell off your collection.
Your interests will shift back and forth over the years. Keeping what you have will prevent you from having to purchase again at higher prices later. Buy what's available, when it's available. Enjoy them all. |

I hear ya, just when I think I'm done.... WHAM! something else sparks my interest.
Few months back I thought I had everything I wanted. Then I saw some Form1 Suppressor builds. |

If it came to just defending myself, all I need is a well made AR and G19.
I kind of enjoy shooting, tho, so that complicates things. |

Every single long gun I own that isn't an AR has wood furniture.
I have one Garand, but no carbine. I do have a BYF K98k, and a (F) No.4 Mk.1 though. |

Last rifle I bought was a slightly bubba fucked Argentine Mauser carbine.
I need to get around to un-fucking it. |

I just got into milsurps and got extremely lucky with a carbine from the CMP. I scored a 1945 Winchester with matching barrel. I'm told it would bring at least $1,000 in an auction if not more.
I have 2 Garands, a carbine, and 2 M39's to start my collection |

JohnMcClane, nice line up of twentieth century arms. All you need is the 30-40 Krag and the 6 mm Lee (USN and USMC).. A Trapdoor carbine would be good too (US Volunteers still used them in the Spanish-American War).
