Glock 19.

This.  And poll fail.

The Glock 19 is a shitty range toy. (What OP is looking for.)

He does this thread every month, he's totally covered on firearms, he's just adding to the collection.

In this thread I learned that there are people who shoot a 1911 without riding the safety.

After seeing your list of those 3 I'd go with the 1911 in 9

Out of your list I would buy the ten 10 shot wheelgun, especially if I could get a .22 magnum cylinder for it.

Bingo.

And they are very much butthurt. OP asks for opinions on three guns. Glocktards mention Glock because there is no glockcrap option and yet again another thread where the criteria is not for Glock and still they mouth breath it up mentioning it out of triggered feelings in spite.

So yeah, they're butthurt again.

as to everyone who keeps mentioning the Glock 19.....

I had a gen 3 19 and ended up selling it, the finger grooves drove me nuts on it. If I could find a nice gen 2 19 I'd probably go that route, but if I go the compact 9mm route it'll probably be a Ruger LC9S

I voted PPQ for one reason.

I am a 1911 lover and I do not believe in a 9mm 1911. That what a BHP is for.

Personally I would go for the wheel gun but that's just because I like them.  Otherwise get the 1911.  Real men prefer steel.

Nope. The "compact" class guns like the Glock 19 are kinda like the compact crossover SUVs of the firearms world. Like a Toyota Rav4 or a Honda CRV, they are versatile, and they are good at a wide variety of things, but they don't actually excel at anything other than being half-assed good at a variety of things.

The Glock 19, with its short sight radius, mediocre trigger, and not quite smooth recoil, is a shitty range gun. The G34 and the G17L are much better choices, and even they have limitations (that trigger).

Colt 9mm 1911.

Gets you a 9mm 1911 plus you add a Colt 1911 Govt to your list which you are lacking.

I hate when people suggest something outside the list, but you might really want to consider looking at the 9mm Rock Island 1911s.  They've gotten really good reviews.

Or....

I'm one of those guys that doesn't look at my weapon as an accessory.  I'm just looking for something that is going to do what I ask of it everytime.

That's a Glock.

Enjoy your beautiful accessories.  I'll stick with dependable weapons.  I don't need pretty.

My you're so edgy, just too cool an all to even realize just how stupid you are actually sounding. Seek mental health for that trolling aversion of yours to anything mentioned that you don't like.

This place uses the term edgy way too much.

MecGar, Wilson Combat, CMC-XP all work fine.
