Here is a ~120 page novella that we thought some of you might have an interest in. Ignore the "purchase" button in the link; the entire novella is available for free, exclusively on ARFCOM. Read it if you get a chance and let us know what you think!
From the Author: "Much of the of the story content of Hunt The Siberian is driven by the current state of world affairs, the exponential growth in technology and our increasing dependence upon it. I have striven to be accurate within the bounds of a fictionalized tactical and strategic space, and also to share what many in the know, think could happen in the not too distant future." Enjoy! |

Cool thanks. Something to read while waiting for my daughter to get out of school.

Looks good. Can you tune up the link so the pages fit on the screen?

Just started to read the authors notes. " Much of the of the story content of Hunt The Siberan ..." Just a heads up on the typo.

thank you - I enjoyed the read... you did a great job on developing the four main characters - particularly the scout.

Is there a way to download it to an ereader? View Quote Open the books page, right click on it and select "save page as". Use the default name. Make sure the selection field on the bottom says "save as webpage, complete", and the "html only" or "text files", etc isnt selected. Go to the folder the page d/led to, you should see "Hunt The Siberian _ AR15.COM Books_files". Go into that. There should be a .pdf of the book in that folder. If you need a different format than .pdf, convert it with something like Calibre. EDIT--or you can just do what the guy below me wrote |
Thanks for the book, and just hit the download .pdf link on the book.
For those with iDevices, save the file on your computer as a pdf. Then email the PDF to yourself. When you open the email and click on the attachment, it will ask if you want to open in iBooks. Click yes and it will copy the PDF to your iBooks library. You can do this with any PDF and .epub files that you find anywhere.
Mac users can open the link in Safari, then right click on the embedded PDF and then left click on "Open in Preview." You can then save the file for offline reading.
Thank you, OP, I'll read it later. |
No Joy. I just get an "Error 403" when I click the "Books" link.

Thanks, sounds like fun.
Also sorely needs a good proofreader. |

thank you - I enjoyed the read... you did a great job on developing the four main characters - particularly the scout. This, +1 the scout reminded me of someone i sever with from Alaska... the narrative about the bear really captured the essence of the animals personality too... kind of like my ex - an antisocial beast given to sudden, insane rages... |

I think the helo you're looking for at the bottom of pg 29 is going to be a CH-47, a Boeing aircraft.

Thanks! I read it on the beach over the weekend. It was a good read and well worth my time :)
I'd like to see more. |

Hey thanks for the kind notes- all of the credit goes to AR15.Com. This is their gift to their members.
Sorry about errors. E-editing is partially to blame. We're not big fans of spell/check and other tools. We will endeavor to meet your high standards. That it is our goal! Second volume is in finishing stages and will most likely be released this summer- number three is in creative. AR15.COM and the author are glad you enjoyed it! Hiram- I apologize. We are better with pointy things and triggers than tech. I will have some folks test it and see if they can find the glitch. |
Hey thanks for the catch! That is what we like to call a "brain typo". Brain thinking one thing fingers writing something else. Probably need to go hunting and shooting more and clear the fog! We will make the correction when we upload again-
Well, even though you're not a fan of spellchecking, would it help if I proofread copy and got it back to you?
Actually we are huge fans of spell cheque. . .spell czech is not a huge fan of odd words, specialized technical language or colloquialisms. We would love to have your highlighted mark up though so we can make corrections. I have yet to read a book written in the last 20 years that doesn't have multiple typos- we confess we are victims of technology and we'll take an extra set of eyes as ours start to bleed from pouring over copy. BTW who else hates auto correct? Hope you enjoyed the story even with its demerits- this novella was written specifically for AR15.COM's members so their help and feedback is always welcomed!

Thanks for the read.
I was never able to get it to download for off line reading. I scrolled through it online. |
