I know we've all been pretty used to these $30-$40 Anderson lowers, they're been cheap and they still are cheap. But I have a strong feeling that they won't stay that way. So go buy a couple. I just got a few more and they came out to $41.50 before the FFL fee. That is all. Fat Boy tactical View Quote I just got a couple at the LGS here. 49 bux, no FFL fee! |

I'd rather buy ammo or guns I don't already have a dozen versions of. View Quote This. During the last paranoia-driven, hobo-handjob scare my ammunition situation was so bleak that the only ammo I had left to shoot at one point was Greek SS109. No point in owning a bunch of AR's when the only ammo you have to shoot is soooo bad, you wish that you hadn't been so frivolous with your Radway Green a few weeks ago... For those that don't know or those that were fortunate enough to forget, Greek and Radway Green SS109 was some of the worst 5.56 ammo you could find to stuff into your LaBelle mags... I'd rather have a pile of ammo to wear out one AR than a pile of AR's to wear out one pile of ammo... |

You probably also want to pick up some 1/4"-28tpi 3/4" long grip screws too. I have three Anderson lowers where they didn't tap the last .25" for some unknown fucking reason. I don't think i'll be buying any more Anderson lowers if I have to use non standard parts to make them work. View Quote They do it on purpose, it's not a mistake. Their LPKs come with the 3/4 inch screws. They said something about not wanting to interfere with the FCG. So what happens when the panic hits hard and you can't find the parts to complete those builds? I would be sure to also get the uppers/parts to complete them just in case. View Quote In which case you may as well just buy complete rifles... unless a custom build is what you have in mind anyway. |

I doubt selector marking that are just words are part of a trademark. Seems like some other company would start making a couple with blank selector marks for custom engraving of whatever you wanted. There was a company called ShadowOps Weapons that sold lowers like that. No markings or rollmarks, you engrave your own (or have them do it.) btw - they went out of business last year sometime. Anytime these companies with good looking rollmarks go tits up, I always wonder why they don't sell off the rollmarks as part of an asset sale. (I keep waiting for Umbrella to finally admit they will never have lowers again, and let the rights to that mark get sold to someone that would actually use it.) |

My local shop sells them for 60 a pop. So going to hit them up pretty quick here.

The only "extra" parts I like having are wear parts or consumables. Other than that, I buy stuff when I want to build a complete gun.
